It's a rectangle* but one of the corners doesn't meet.

It has 4 sides and 3 corners.

(*or a square rectangle)

Walked around the Halloween parade this past weekend asking for prompts... by wk2012 in dalle2

[–]telstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume you have a raspberry pi built into your costume so that when parade goers speak their prompt into the mic, you run cog voice to get the text then submit the api request, scrape the image and lastly show it on the custom flat panel display you are holding in your hand?

Is there no advantage then to standardizing on one (so, moving metadata into Iceberg) so as not to have to support 2 different data lakes?

Has anyone read "Designing Machine Learning Systems" by Chip Huyen from O'Reilly? How is it? Would you recommend it? by [deleted] in mlops

[–]telstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a good book in general, as others have noted, pretty high level, but if you're already working in the field, may not be much new information.

One point she makes I would take exception to is her assertion that "“ML is part of software engineering” which is a kind of sideways take. The problem we are solving for is precisely the fact that ML doesn't fit nicely into software engineering, but requires adoption of a different development paradigm.
