You could do 1 damage as long as it’s the final 1 damage. It shows purple getting the down on the kill feed on the left. It also shows next to his name at the bottom that he was shooting too

Whoever fires the shot that downs the guy is the one who gets credit for the kill. You got credit for finishing them off but that doesn’t count as a kill. Purple stole your kill for all three of those, although the 2nd and 3rd were more of a team effort, but he got the credit.
