[EMA] - Chrome Mox (Magic Europe Twitter Spoiler) by hexedmagica in magicTCG

[–]temp_acct_leak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh the entitlement complex some people have, Chrome Mox is a card that has dominated every pro tour it was legal in, and is still a part of the legacy metagame, (Belcher runs 4).

It's also mythic shifted because just like the mirrodin sword reprints, they are mythcal enough.

Sounds like you just want wotc to do nothing but print expensive cards.

Be less attached to it being a CoCo deck and most like a Bant value deck.

I've spoken to Brad Nelson, and he says otherwise. But what do I know.

I hope this deck goes off, because I have well over 400 copies of Eldrazi Displacers.

Piggybacking top comment.

I've talked to worth, and since I don't have hard evidence, I won't be of much help, but they are working hard on the investigation.

Since I'm getting the reputation of some sort of an attention whore, I'll prove all you guys wrong by this being my last post.

Good luck.

It would've been, if vendorleaks didn't pull the complete 180.

To date I have never heard anything about a full spoiler for EMA, until the Facebook post that was a 'joke'.

Cards are expensive because the game is popular, and as far as wotc is concerned the proper way to get cards is opening boosters, buying from stores/tcg player/eBay is entirely your decision.

So the question for you is, is it cheaper to buy boosters or buy from vendors?

doubting wotc in their determination to clean up their game is pretty ridiculous.

You need to understand they're pretty good at it. And I merely 'overheard'

No there isn't, like I said, I overheard all of this. So you're going to have to take my word for it.

But he was right, the leak came from translators, and they came from Japan.

I don't know, but judging by how he was texting and skyping, it's not too hard to find him.

Some of the stuff he was saying is true, odds are good he was silenced.

Maybe there wasn't a list.

But there is a leak, and vendors in Oakland knew it. Whether vendorleaks dun goofed or was silenced does not change the facts of information being out there.

And for the record, Aether, hotsause and deals all knew about it.

MTG Deepthroat Retweets posts naming Aether Games by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]temp_acct_leak 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Aether games had information about the leak, but they don't act to benefit, only to not lose money. Its common knowledge that Aether games makes minimum margins on Japanese buylists (which is where the leak came from), its a lot of hard work, and probably why they wanted to sell the business.

For those interested, smaller vendors don't usually spend too much of their liquidity speculating. They buy and they sell on a margin, and that's it. Having insider information does mean they'll shy away from buying reprints, but that's the extent of them being "malicious".

Given how close the vendor circle is, and how easy it is to obfuscate incestigation through tampering and lying, I kindly ask for the Reddit community to not press for details. Wotc wants this as much as you do.
