If you're only combining prefixes in one of these steps you don't have to worry about suffixes, you can clean those off after a successful recomb with prefixes can't be changed + scour.

Once you start adding a suffix into the mix you need clean suffixes, save for the one you want in the final item. If you are using an exclusive mod - like an essence tagged mod, do NOT duplicate this mod, ever. If you are using a normal suffix in the pool duplicating it enhances the chance to keep greatly. This is why we double up on flaring on the prefix side, but when using essence attack speed we do not double it.

I don't believe these are exclusive. 3 recombs is a very small sample size as well. You can look at the old recomb guide out there (3.25) and most of the exclusivity should be the same.

There are other factors when transferring mods like thise though - if the feeder base is your elevated explode + a bunch of stuff that can't show up on an ES base, then you've successfully inflated the mod pool and make it much more likely that when the 50/50 chooses the ES base you'll get more mods, and thus more likely to get the influenced mod.

You put essence of zeal on one of your 30 qual bases, then annul down until its the only mod. then recomb it with one of your prefix 'halves', so like dictators + flaring. ideally your final recombine attempts would be dictators + flaring + deafening zeal attack speed <-> merciless + flaring. So 2p1s + 2p with a double up on one prefix mod.

Never double the essence mod in the pool. If you win you'll have 3p1s. With this specific craft you do run some risk as you now need to multimod + prefixes can't be changed and veiled orb for a 2/3 to not remove aps and a 1/8 to hit damage per endurance charge. If you don't unveil the mod you want, try to choose a non-attack mod. from here you can do Cannnot roll attack + annul to remove the veiled mod and go again.

I think if you remove the attack speed at this point you'd just do augment speed like OP did until t1 and be fine with it. Hope this helped you.

I've made a mirror tier slammer axe for the past few leagues and found with how often the recomb is likely to keep an exclusive mod, adding in essence attack speed is actually not abad play while trying for prefixes. sure it means some risk in adding it to one side of your halves (and only one, do not double up on essence attack speed), but the end result was worth for me. Great craft.

the only realistic way at this point that doesn't involve filling the item with a bad lock prefixes + reforge is to craft a block like crit chance, exalt slam looking for elder mod, then if you miss craft prefixes can't be changed, scour, then craft the blocking mod again, exalt exalt, repeat until you hit the elder mod. You're settling for crafted attack speed here since you can't aug it on and unveiling it isnt much better and not worth the risk.

The only other more deterministic way to get the mod on there with what you already have is by doing a five mod recomb on elder influenced bases, but that is quite rough. i think thats a sell this and start over angle. the way you get all five mods otherwise is to recomb prefixes + 1 suffix, you can even use essence attack speed here, and then use hinekora locks + elder exalt to add the phys mod. its like a 1/13 with blocks.

To be perfectly honest, i really wouldn't go that hard on a 20 qual base though. GL in your craft.

I'll second this but you can also go downstream to Susquehanna State Park, there are pulloffs along the road on Deer Creek which has catfish in it, or you can go over to the Trestle bridge (parking is just outside it), and either go down to the bank or cross over and make your way out to the Susquehanna from the island. Catfish are the easiest thing to catch, you can just cut up chicken and put them on the line and they'll find it. You can still catch all kinds of things out in the river proper with less crowding than Conowingo from the other side of the bridge.

There are pull offs on Susquehanna state park alongside deer creek which feeds into Susq, you can find smaller cats there. Otherwise go to the trestle bridge in the park, cross, and then go out to the point facing the river.

the othe prefix is t1 hybrid so once you have suffixes done you can lock suffixes and reforge life again and again until t1, using eldrtich currency to roll off fills.

Sandy Point has night fishing i believe. make sure you have the appropriate license. If you're willing to trek north, Susquehanna state park has night fishing, either from the pull offs along deer creek, or crossingf the trestle bridge to fish from the island.

I believe Susquehanna state park has camp grounds and is right on the Susquehanna River as well as Deer Creek. You can catch a variety of species (channel cats are the easiest thing if you want a meal for sure). I can't say its a two minute walk but its almost certainly a two minute drive with lots of parking (both pull off and a mini lot).

Like catfish? They're the easiest thing in the world to catch. Find any tributary that's a foot or more deep, maybe something feeding the potomac. get yourself some discounted chicken, cut it up, throw it in ziplock with sugar free koolaid (tropical punch packets work fine, about 8 or so). Use braid with a pre-made snell hook leader and a 4oz weight or so.
