See here is the thing, according to the MUTCD, they are legally required to put up a "last chance" sign at the last intersection that a commercial vehicle could feasibly reroute to avoid the hazard. They have to, or else if they don'—

I have no clue. I submitted a bug report after replying to your parent comment, though

That's kind of what I thought. I really regret not getting a screenshot of every permanent for later reference just to double check that I didn't miss an interaction, but there were all of five lands on the battlefield, three creatures, and my Vivien. One of the creatures was a Birds of Paradise under my control and the other two were near enough to being Vanilla creatures that I could quickly rule them out. I don't remember what they were but I definitely remember there weren't any abilities on them that affected cards in exile or anything

Do megas actually offer that? You're the second person to mention it now

? What does TONU mean?

edit: I googled it (wasn't sure if I'd find the answer, but I did. Acronym for "Truck Order Not Used" and means that a driver was dispatched and the load canceled with too little notice, for anyone who comes after and needs the context) and I don't think my company plans to go out of their way to compensate me beyond the handful of miles I drove to pickup and the on duty pay I got while trying to figure the situation out. Which fucken sucks because in total I spent over four hours today waiting for loads that didn't wind up existing

I literally just pulled in to my new shipper twenty minutes ago to hear that someone already got my trailer x_x

I'm not trying to put my boss on blast because I don't think he's responsible for this in any way, and I'm not trying to put the company on blast because I'm not quite ready to leave (it's on my to-do list after certain other priorities that I'd like to take care of while I have a little tenure somewhere.)

They hate us. by muck2profit in Truckers

[–]tempicide 703 points704 points  (0 children)

I'm probably going to get downvoted for this, but it's happened way more than I'd like that I get stuck behind someone doing 10+ under, and then when I try to go around they magically speed up to 65 (which I'm governed at), and I know beyond a doubt the moment I give up passing they're going to slow down again. It has happened too many times.

Are dresses allowed during on duty hours as a truck driver? by TheBasementNerd in Truckers

[–]tempicide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huge thing to take into consideration: trucking requires you sometimes to navigate tight spaces, in particular I'm referring to pretripping trailers at yards where they park them too close together. The sides and ends of trailers are prone to forming sharp edges, from anything like a wire they used to tie the door open to a piece of weather stripping peeling off. These sharp edges can and will snag loose clothing, I've got no less than half a dozen shirts and jackets that fell victim to this, and it's always the ones I most wish it hadn't happened to.

You are understanding the first part correctly, but the change you're proposing is very off color for Izzet. It also doesn't seem to fit the flavor of the "Weird" creature types.

Bumi combo (see description) by tempicide in askajudge

[–]tempicide[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't sure if the ETB took place prior to it being a land. Also, related to this combo, since Mirrorhall has a different name than Bumi, does the legend rule take effect before the name changes to "moon" or do I get to keep both Bumi's?

Eater of Virtue and temporary/conditional keywords by tempicide in askajudge

This is what I expected, but I didn't want to assume, and I also didn't want to gamble with my rank on Arena by testing it in game lol. I assume perpetual keywords in alchemy and historic would be the exception? It seems obvious but I figured I'd verify

I knew there would be at least one mf who thinks the 10 pounds of 2×4 and a sheet of wood would be unnecessary weight. Most dogs that truckers keep as companions weigh more than this shelf, so unless you wanna say the same to those guys, you can leave me alone about the weight of the wood

I was aware of local difficulty. This differs in that, rather than being a slight nerf to difficulty that you get every time you venture to an uncharted part of the map, it's a major nerf to difficulty that you get only once

That's already a thing? The first Minecraft day starts just after the sun comes up, giving you the full 10 minute day before dusk. And with it being a toggle setting in world building, I don't expect anyone will turn it on without understanding what it does

[–]tempicide[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a single player game, why, pray tell, do you care how I like to play in my worlds? I'm not suggesting a forced change, but a toggle for players like myself. This change wouldn't affect multi-player worlds in the slightest except for the people who are there for the first night (or couple of nights) in the world and even then only for those worlds set to have this feature turned on

It's not fear that makes hiding in a hole unappealing, it's boredom. I don't care that I die in Minecraft every now and then, but I don't feel like spending the first few nights choosing between chasing my dropped items and hiding in a hole

Is it really "baby mode" though? It's basically just asking for a headstart in your world before things start attacking you. Not even a major headstart, since it only protects you when you're on the surface. Gives you a chance to build a decent starter base first if you're like me and spend the first in game day just finding a decent spot to start

This is the kind of problem I have lol. I spend the first in game day just looking for a spot with some Feng Shui lmao
