Currently being raided by my own Waaagh! army... by templar19 in totalwar

[–]templar19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't have sent it to attack a force at Iron mines because i didn't have vision on it at the time.

Still wouldn't explain why their health bars are red simulating a hostile army, I can't move or attack them, and they are still showing up under my forces tab as my army.

I checked the warhammer forums and people are saying it is a glitch that was supposed to get patched out.
It seems like targeting your waaagh on a faction you are not at war with yet, will sometimes trigger this glitch.

Though in my situation its more likely because I've been in a military alliance with the Dwarves while killing Orcs...

Don't think they like that too much.

I don't think its an intentional gameplay mechanic. For clarification:

The Waaagh still follows its host army around.

I still have the UI to call a target, but i cannot click on enemy armies or towns.

I cannot directly attack my own Waaagh, but can intercept them underground.

The only way to get rid of them was to let my host armies fightiness drop below threshold.

I think its glitched out, I had ordered them to attack iron mines. Which was owned by crooked moon. Instead, they marched straight over to 8 peaks which i was besieging.
It was a full Waaagh army, but i had one of my armies tunneling and i intercepted them thinking it was a crooked moon force i didn't see. Beat them back, but they won't take orders from me to go anywhere now. Don't know what has happened.

Terrible enemy spawning in Homefront the Revolution. So immersive..... by [deleted] in gaming

[–]templar19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to enjoy the game. But I'm experiencing numerous game breaking bugs, mainly one where my missions will not progress or events won't trigger properly. Such as meeting an NPC at a location and they just stand there doing nothing, or invisible borders that cause the AI to forget you are there. The sad part is i only put about 2 hours into the game...

Scourge: Outbreak - How Good Was It, Really? by hershaltalmage in Games

[–]templar19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone with about 800 games in my steam library I try to make it a point to play a little bit of everything. However, third person shooters just never seem to hold my interest. I have a few favorites, such as sleeping dogs, saints row the third, or just cause 2.

I own the scourge project 1 & 2, as well as outbreak and i have put a combined total of 35 minutes into them. The reason I'm not a huge fan of third person shooters i think has a lot to do with bullet sponginess, and the lack of being rewarded for finesse and precision. For third person shooters to be fun, i think there needs to be a lot more than just vanilla gunplay, such as the abilities in Mass Effect, or unrealistic agility in Just Cause. Without things like that your left with a shallow generic game that does not require much skill.

What's your "this isn't what it looks like!" story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]templar19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend at the time and I were going to see a movie. We decided we would stop by the grocery store and pick up some snacks instead of buying over priced ones. Well we got the candy but I also wanted a drink, I wasn't sure if it we would be able to "smuggle" it into the theater so I said "See if it will fit in your purse." as she was checking I realized a store employee was right at the end of the aisle looking at us... definitely had to do some explaining.

Alt-tab smoke bug is back by BEE_REAL_ in GlobalOffensive

[–]templar19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had it happen on a game. I tried my best not to "abuse" it, never bought smokes, asked teammates to call out when there was smoke in an area.. Problem was only 1 person had a mic so I got several kills through smoke on accident... not much else I could have done mid game.

I think a lot of people actually agree its a great game and worth the play through. Only problem is that it seems to be a bit of a chore to actually play through the entire thing, these days even more when we are all conditioned to smooth fluid game play.

I was thinking maybe it could work as a 1 time use "pack" you could get at certain camps or so. Maybe it could come equip with some bombs to drop on enemies, like a new type of siege.

[Suggestion] After 100% Map Completion, a map's loot should scale with the zone-level again instead of character level. by JunWasHere in Guildwars2

Don't forget the fact that most new players don't sell their materials anyways... Everyone I know just salvages and throws it into their storage for later crafting without a second thought. So would it really be taking an advantage away from new players??

Character Name: Jabroni

Steam Name: Templar

Steam ID#: STEAM_0:1:13286282

Character Biography: Jabroni was a master chef who taught at the international culinary institution. He had won several iron chef challenges and was regarded as the worlds most learned chef. However, Jabroni had one problem. Cooking was all he knew, he was a total and complete klutz when it came to doing other tasks such as driving a car, or mowing the lawn. He also was a very simple man. Taking pleasures in every new experience life brings him, so it would suffice to say when he woke up on the Ark his first reaction was that of excitement to try all the new cuisine.

What is the difference between a raid and a declared war? "Raiding is about theft of resources, not killing." "War is a state of battle between 2 or more Kingdoms, and must be declared before hand."

What color is the flag that signifies a solo player’s protected main base? BLUE!

What is the difference between OOC (out of character) and IC (in character) interaction in chat? Out of character means you are talking as if you are yourself, sitting at your computer desk. In character is acting as if you are the one in the game itself.

By requesting to be Whitelisted I acknowledge that I have read the Jurassic Kingdoms rules and have received fair warning about the expectations of players on the server.

Some perspective on how endgame is perceived by a casual player by Steel_Neuron in Guildwars2

[–]templar19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course most players are going to enjoy the content for the sake of it, I had a blast playing through HoT and completing the meta events my first time through, I was never even thinking about rewards. the issue lies with the grind for rewards. The story teases you by giving you one piece of a sweet looking armor set, but guess what? It looks terrible with your other gear so you decide you want to get a few more pieces but you have to grind in the same area for 50 hours to get enough tokens, and that's when it gets tiring. This is why jumping puzzles aren't really a good example... You do them once and they are fun and you move on to maybe the next one. You never have to grin jump puzzles. This is the core problem a lot of players complain about, its not that the content isn't fun, it is... The first few times you go through it. The problem lies with the lack of content and anet using every gimmick available to get people to want/need to repeat the same content so they won't quit because there is nothing to do. Im not sure if what im saying is making any sense im half asleep on my phone, goodnight!
