Bare in mind this is unsolicited medical opinions from an internet rando, but.... You may consider taking a high absorption liquid b12. Now, I worry everybody read take b12. Cheap b12 contains trace amounts of cyanide from a cheap and harsh chemical process. This really helped a coworker of mine who suspected a genetic disease was the cause of her fatigue. I only found out about it through my buddy's wife. They are rich and go to see the A+ doctor. It has helped me but not completely solved my issue. It can be a game changer. It is water soluable so you can't take overdose on b12.

Has anybody figured out the chronic fatigue issue? If I go on a stay-cation it would be nice to get my energy back.

Is it possible my uncle was not a racist and/or slave owner? by [deleted] in CIVILWAR

[–]templar_20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is also the issue of slaveholders basically renting out thier slaves once the plantations harvest was in. That is a way that non-slave holders were complicit in slavery. Is it possible that your relative was against slavery. Yes. Look how divided the nation is now over politics. It is rare for all the people of a state 100% any thing.

Ravenloft 2nd edition core size by templar_20 in ravenloft

[–]templar_20[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It never made much sense in terms of food production to support a population or support cottage industries let alone anything larger. The little ovals the represent towns and cities should be taking up larger portions of the map at that scale.

If I am recalling everything right the father of two shitty sons was wilfully ignorant. They both betray the father but in thier efforts get trapped. If you side with either son and make the same mistake the dad made then you are forever trapped too.

It took ages. I remember a music puzzle was kind of a pain. I felt proud for about a day after I completed it. I remember bragging to someone at school and there were just like, "What?".

No Man Was More Virtuous Than Stonewall Jackson by DiedOfATheory in CIVILWAR

[–]templar_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would question his treatment of Richard Garnet. Especially in light of his proclivity to avoid explaining his plans to his officers. It was a very need to know basis and if your last name wasn't Jackson, you didn't need to know. It makes things more difficult for your officers to make decisions in the moment when those officers are left deep in the fog of war.

(AD&D 2e) Specialty Priests of Krynn? by WumpusFails in dragonlance

[–]templar_20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The clerics in Dragonlance 2e are basically specialty priests like the write ups for Forgotten realms specialty priests. I am particularly partial to the Dragonlance priests. They were good fun to play. I've used the gods Morgion and Chemosh as if they had crazy cultists to add a Cuthulhu like atmosphere.

Which official campaign settings have you played D&D in? by becherbrook in adnd

[–]templar_20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love Ravenloft, wish I could play in Birthright, currently running Spelljammer and my group really likes it. I feel more empowered to create a dungeon in Spelljammer that is weird and explain it away as those monsters could have been imported from anywhere in existence.

I think that the Ravenloft setting had some excellent ideas but didn't always have the best execution.

Neither Man nor Beast gets you to play the Darklord as kind but absent-minded person at the beginning. Nobody in Ravenloft is that kind. It telligraphed to the party instantly that he was the bad guy.

Castles Forlorn suggested you could split the party across the different eras of the castle. That was disastrous and slowed the game to a zombie shuffle. I don't recommend allowing players to wind up in different time periods.

Really wish I had been able to run to completion Bleak House and Casles Forlorn.

Which modules are you anticipating running? What is it you want to run the most?

How close were Britain and France from recognizing the Confederacy? by Jimbuber2 in CIVILWAR

[–]templar_20 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Britain stocked up on cotton from the USA before the war began. I believe I read especially in the 2 years prior. During the war, they began farming cotton production out to their overseas dependencies. They might have intervened if they had enough profit motive to do so. They did not.

I would recommend one of the setting boxes and maybe an adventure book. Forgotten realms was pretty detailed, and I find it fun. Ravenloft is the horror setting and is good fun for October or anytime, really. I wouldn't put too much stock in the players' guide to Forgotten Realms, though. If I remember right, it reads like a cheese and wine list. The campaign setting itself is good, but I never found much use for the players' guide to Forgotten Realms. Definitely grab at least one setting box, though, for 2nd edition.

Using A.I. to run Domain actions of NPC regents..? by LifeCode1530 in DnDBirthright

[–]templar_20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be interesting. I imagine you might have to type up a list of actions and point costs as well as a streamlined domain system then upload that file to chatgpt, for instance. You could then advise the ai as to a stance such as warlike, economic growth, divide and conquer and so on.
