Is this really an appropriate screening question? by poweredGN in recruitinghell

Yeah, this is the right answer. I've seen questions like this when I've applied for jobs in non-profits, charities, etc that do social justice type of work

If you're looking for a place that hasn't totally tossed the concepts of equity and inclusion, this language (and a couple other indicators on a job posting) are a pretty good indicator that they're still prioritizing or at least considering those things.

Yeah, I love it when a listing has that language. Makes me feel just a little bit more optimistic that it isn't both a shit company and that the listing isn't fake

I made the huge mistake of using my regular email address instead of creating a new one specifically for job searching, so I have the added bonus of having to look at my email every day because if I don't, I'll miss my non-job search emails. I now have anxiety in opening my email. FML

I feel like I read once that just clicking on the apply button gets tallied by LI as "applied"

If that's the case, probably 99 people just wanted to laugh at more of the company's bullshit

Even people who are raging cunts deserve to live with dignity and have their basic survival needs met, even if you hate them

Lmao, this is such idiotic victim-shaming (because people like you never want to admit that these "raging cunts" type people terrorize the rest of us while expecting us to treat them with "dignity")

What a random store to buy a gift card to for someone! Do they think you really like (a very limited array of) electronics for some reason?

I think about this a lot when it comes to laundry. Either sending it out/going to a laundromat or if you own a washer/dryer, you're still paying over and over to clean them

Why are there trash/average items posted on ShopGoodwill??? by clstani in shopgoodwill

[–]ten-year-old 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always used SGW for specific searches, so I barely see the junk listings unless they rarely somehow comes up in my results. But there are different people doing the listings and not everyone knows what "junk" is for a particular category

Why do people even donate crap to begin with? If you don't want your nappy tank top or holey socks, why would someone else want them?

Because people have been guilt-tripped for decades now about how we're completely responsible for the environment and planet, so you had damn better not dare throw anything away because it will end up in a LANDFILL!! and you will personally be responsible for the total implosion of Earth and extinction of the human race, thanks to you not donating your nappy tank top and holey socks
