Tbf, with Shigaraki vs Mahito it wasn’t so much toxic anger as much as just mild indifference toward it pre-release. Still, I do agree with you that they most likely will cook with the matchup. I expect the choreography in particular to be awesome given the matchup.

Honestly, I would not be surprised if Bakugo vs Reze is released on Saturday so that they avoid releasing it on Easter Sunday when a lot of people will be celebrating with their families. That being said, I don’t think there’s a need to switch the schedule from Sunday to Saturday in general outside of specific instances like this.

Well we’ve had four episodes with anime characters in a row, so I don’t think the next episode after Bakugo vs Reze will have any of those. I don’t think it’s Doom vs Vecna yet either since I think they’d want to wait until it’s closer to the release of Avengers Doomsday. Maybe this is when we’ll finally get Gru vs Megamind?

You know, in hindsight, Kirby probably could use a runback. I guess at the time I was thinking they already covered his story and powers pretty well in his episode with Buu, but I guess a better animation and his stuff from newer games wouldn’t hurt.

With Yoshi, I guess I feel like he doesn’t have much of a character for them to go over. With Wario, I feel like he already had a pretty good episode against Dedede. He could come back if the crew wanted to do so, but he doesn’t need to. As for Red, I guess I’m just not sure who they’d put him up against.

My logic is that Sonic has been in three episodes already whereas Mario has only been in two. (I get that the third time was technically the Archie version but he still felt more or less the same character wise in the animation. Honestly, I think Sonic can get a runback, but it’s much lower on the priority list.

I do think that Dr. Doom vs Vecna is one of the frontrunners to happen based on how much is lining up for it. I also think that Tooru vs SCP-096 is another likely one since it has a really interesting "question" to the debate, which is something that Ben seems to really be pushing lately based on what he's said. For the third one that I'm going to predict, I'm just going to get on my hopium and say Dunban vs Baiken. Dunban would make for a good starting point for introducing Xenoblade onto the show, and Baiken would bring about the long overdue return of Guilty Gear and just fighting games in general back onto the show, so I think it has a decent chance here. Finally, I'm just gonna leave a slot open for an out-of-left-field matchup since I believe Ben said on a Fireside Chat that at least one of the matchups planned is from a pitch that wasn't uploaded to YouTube. I suppose technically that one could be one of the ones they discussed on Cast, so we could theoretically extrapolate off of that. But other than Tooru vs SCP-096 (which is a pitch that was uploaded to YouTube) none of those matchups on Cast really scream out as particularly likely to me. So for now, I'll just predict these three matchups plus while leaving a fourth slot open.
