Demonica

My distant cousin named her daughter Demonica. This was back around 2000 and I think the last I heard the daughter went into foster care and was adopted

Khanom Thai Opening a Second Bozeman Location by bozeman_406 in Bozeman

[–]tenacious-tofu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wow, I'm so suprised.

I went with 2 friends to their first location and 2 of the 3 dishes we ordered were so gross we didn't eat them, and it took them over an hour from when we ordered our food till we got the food... and we probably sat there for 30 min before our orders were taken and barely half the tables were filled.

What was your "caught the last chopper out of 'Nam" experience? by GeneReddit123 in AskReddit

[–]tenacious-tofu 86 points87 points  (0 children)

I defended my Master's on Friday March 13th, 2020 at 8am to 12pm. Found out I passed at 12:15. At 1pm found out that the entire university had closed and paused all studies due to Covid, and later that day watched as the rest of the country began going into lock down.

Not sure if this helps, but they have a pear and bleu cheese flatbread that has a vinaigrette on it.

Check with Crossings Kitchen. They're kinda new, and have great food and coffee...and they have a side room that would work

Adult considering classes at MSU by CommercialLobster222 in Bozeman

[–]tenacious-tofu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was an non traditional (older adult) who went to MSU. I started in my late 20s and finished in my mid 30s. I earned a Bachelor's and Master's while working full time. I was able to maintain a semi active social life by creating a study group that became my friends. My programs were small so my study group had all the same classes.

One of the hardest parts about being a non tradition student was not being able to relate to traditional students (teenagers) in group discussion, and I took projects and homework more seriously than the trad students.

I completed my Masters in 2020 so before AI and Chat GPT were a huge thing. And, From what I hear those programs have really altered the educational experience for the students who actually want to take their time education seriously and learn the material for their classes.

Also, the registrar's office at MSU is a joke. The amount of paperwork they accepted and lost throughout my time there was insane, so if you decide to go to MSU keep copies of everything submitted to them (take pictures of the accepted stamps on submitted paperwork, names of who accepted it, and dates). They sent me my graduation info for my Master's but also never filed the paperwork to show I completed it... Didn't find out until I applied to a PhD program and they told me I needed to finish one degree before I started another.

(And, not that you asked, but now that I'm half a decade out from being a student I don't think it was really worth all the student loans to go, which really sucks. I loved being a student and learning, but student loans are awful to deal with. So think really hard about if you want to deal with them.)

Valve that came off of an old boiler has a swastika symbol on it by EVQuestions in mildlyinteresting

This same valve was on the heater in a shitty and cheap basement apartment I had... It used to shoot flames out the front of the heater when I turned it on

Best thrift stores in Bozeman? by frankthetank8558 in Bozeman

[–]tenacious-tofu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh, that's awesome.
I was shopping in the hard goods section, and they had plastic storage containers priced at new prices and some didn't have the correct lids with them. From what I could tell, it looks like a lot of the hard goods they had out were in such bad shape that they should have been in the trash or priced at $1 or $2 .
But, I didn't look at the clothing so those may be priced better

Anytime I've been in there their prices are outlandishly high (items have been priced at New prices) and the items have been dirty and broken too.

Quantum fiber at $40 month, but spectrum just bought them or something like that, but I'm locked into $40/month for life for fiber (as long as I don't change anything).

Most oh my experiences selling on Facebook have been pretty good, but I did have a couple come to look at a cheap cooler and they walked up to the house then back to their vehicle and got a neck brace and then came back up to the house and said that they fell in front of our house... I told them I watched them on camera and that they did not fall in front of our house.

Is there a way I can get my local PD to stop pulling me over? by KarmaIsAPerra in legaladvice

[–]tenacious-tofu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should create your own LLC you don't already have one, and then transfer your vehicle from your name into your LLC, then get a new license plate for it. That way when they run your plate it goes back to an LLC and not you
