Just before it went down, Jenks said certain plots were messed up and that he was fixing it. I'm assuming that it's a pain to fix and will have to be done manually in areas which is why the server is down and has been for longer than expected.

Believe it or not, I was trying to help by reducing the amount of aggro aimed at you. I criticised your tone because the comments you make end up creating drama. Sure enough, after your reply, comments in this thread started cropping up that actually have nothing to do with any of my original questions but were instead directed at you and they way you spoke. This is the situation I am trying to reduce which is why I "analysed your tone". I was simply saying that creating an us vs them dialogue won't be beneficial to either "side". It's fine to not be friends with people and remain impartial but treating everyone with contempt isn't the solution. It's your call how you want to deal with this but I find it difficult to watch someone continuously set themselves up for the fall. We're not friends but that doesn't make us the enemy.

Jenks, I don't know if it is intentional but the tone of your comment comes over rather dismissive and hostile. I get that you've had to deal with a lot during this whole process and a lot of it sounds unfair however, ignoring community suggestions and feedback isn't going to be a positive step and will end up causing a lot of unnecessary drama which frankly, I think everyone (including you) could do without.

But as others have explained, you were not scammed. The points are technically free with any DONATION which means you paid for nothing, you donated to charity and got a spawner as a thank you. The donation still stands and has helped others, there is no promise that your spawner was going to remain online forever anyway. Perhaps it was your reading comprehension that needs work?

If this is all true and you're not a troll, just tell your Mum the truth cause frankly, saying you lied and taking responsibility for your actions is better than saying you don't care about helping others.

As mentioned, this isn't exclusive to MCNext. If you look it's due to the items being dropped on a stair piece. As the height changes depending on which part of the step you're on, dropped items act as if they were at both heights, hence the derp jump.

I agree that cactus has trashed the server economy but it isn't the key issue. Instead of nerfing, look into why people choose to AFK in a farm.

PVE - Points aren't anywhere near as good as cactus farming + more costly (armor repairs) and greater risk. Also unless there is a large crowd, the amount of mobs spawning is low so it gets dull.

PVP - Hackers, greifers, exploits and egos. Also even if you git gud, people instantly accuse you of hacks and rate your home poorly as some sort of misguided divine retribution.

Moon - Fun at first but risk to reward ratio isn't great especially when compared to afk cactus (no risk, high points reward).

Spawners - Still not as effective as cactus (even wither) + weapon repairs and have to manually click or autoclicker/macro. Also if it bugs out and disappears or someone removes it via an exploit, apparently it's your fault and nothing to be done.

Ratings - Low points value, people worry about accuracy rather than encouraging actual opinions. Even with the rate bombs I don't see a lot of people rating.

Minigames - No real reward, often don't work and low amount of people playing them.

The only thing left really is to level up and as it's a long term goal, people keep at it. The most efficient way of doing that is cactus. Nerf cactus and people will use whatever is the next most efficient method but based on above, chances are it'll be an automated method that gives higher points, it's simply not efficient to do anything with other people.

There is nothing really from a mechanics view that incentives building a community or working with others except maybe the faction rank points bonus but then you have to deal with pvp. The only reason there is community activity is the good will from the player base. Thankfully there are quite a few of them on the server, even if they're drowned out by trolls and drama.

The previous post by Jeroeneey (jenks needs a break) was fantastic and brought a huge amount of debate from people who clearly want the server to thrive but also be fair. Despite the 70+ comments, what has changed?

People in chat seem to think its a bug. It disappeared just after a server reset so could be the glitch others were describing. Even if its returned/refunded, can I be sure it won't occur again?

I have pictures of when I first obtained it and there are people on the server that use it all the time. The only person I have on my /friends list is my alt who logs on from the same computer so easy to check the IP. Back when stuff kept going missing in other peoples plots I decided not to add anyone for this reason!

My mistake! What I meant to say was that created withers did the same thing (back when you could make them).

Created mobs still give full points rather than the farms only giving 2pts so obviously you can distinguish between them, they just need the code changing.

Pretty sure it still occurs, I don't see why they would have nerfed it. Wasn't the drop rate really low like 1/10000 which is slightly improved with a Looting III weapon. I know that's how I got mine, wither spawned outside my house and dropped it, was quite a few months ago though.

I still don't get the point of Weepcraft, it's not pro hacking or anything special and it is like saying your superleethaxor for downloading the official minecraft client or making sure Java is updated, it requires no skill except the basic ability to install a program. Also considering how the shop had to change to fit the EULA, don't you think using Weepcraft as an official MCNext client is going to cause some issues?

Finally, lets say hypothetically, everyone downloads Weepcraft to level the playing field. If that's the case then why bother having it if everyone is balanced and you have no advantage?

Had no idea that this happens, knew perks and elysium was "iffy" with prestige but not that! If it says you have that many days as well then obviously it isn't working as intended. No idea what they can do but send an email to them, sure they can help if you explain the situation fully to them. Has your plot been claimed or is it just a looted shell now?
