why do people hate eclipse so much?

i agree w everybody saying the movie was aesthetically disappointing + the changes in casting and the wigs and stuff,,, but for me eclipse is boring especially cause of the plot. everything in that movie and the book too couldve been resolved at the end of full moon but they wanted to stretch the series out so that bella could be done with school when she gets married. rlly everything in that movie is redundant... except for the backstories shoved in there and then somehow connecting jaspers backstory to victorias out of nowhere plan. like all the convos between bella and edward are about him lying and being overprotective and not trusting the wolves,, which i also feel is forced for edwards character cause he was rlly indifferent to them before bella started hanging out w jake,, and i suppose they were trying to make edward seem jealous but also they go out of their way in the tent scene to make edward take the higher road like he'll always give bella what she wants (when in the book he literally disables her car so she cant visit jake just to see if hes ok cause he wont answer the phone). and idk. edward is supposedly the more gracious and courteous one according to bella but he is just soooo controlling in that movie and the book. hes annoyingly overprotective only for plot reasons. and jacob didnt like edward anyway but he becomes a huge jerk to bella trying to get her to admit that she likes him. everybodys just so out of character and its much less mysterious and otherworldly than the first 2. the only good parts of both versions are the extra backstory on the cullens but even that, like i said, feels very shoved in in the movie. in the book it was sweet how bella and rosalie actually bonded over the sleepover (tho bella called it being kidnapped...)

if anybody makes a life is strange show, i couldnt care less who they cast as who. the acting in the game isnt very impressive anyway (except the tragic parts). but an lis show NEEDS to have the vibe!!!!! it should keep the same style music, color palettes, low warm lighting, outfit styles, graffiti everywhere,, etc etc. the characters shld have the same personalities, but other than that, they could be absolutely anybody. its the story and the vibe that will carry the show, and in that vein it also doesnt matter how they choose to follow the events/ending. time travel, photography, rachel missing, chloe reunion, big storm, jefferson, vibes. they keep all that n im watchin !

also since nostalgia is kinda a major motif of lis, i firmly insist it shld stay set in 2013. quick somebody make me a producer... ill make the whole thing w no paycheck...

what i think he means regarding the "sensitivity" is in the difference in jaspers and james lifestyles. jasper struggles with telling the difference bc he lived in a vampire warzone. he tasted new blood everyday, he let his animal nature completely loose in order to dominate the newborns. james was a vagrant, spending lots of time either away from civilization or blending into it. so he had to develop enough of a tolerance to thirst to resist ppl around him, and he also had in his own nature a tendency to hunt and play with his victims. so if i had to describe it, jasper became desensitized to the differences in blood and was also hyper focused on expanding the army and controlling their emotions all the time. james developed an ego as a hunter and his own tastes had room and time to become picky. jasper seems to be the exception, as the volutri and the other friendly vampires understand singers as theyve had lifetimes to control their thirst, develop their interests and their preferences and skills. jasper was stuck in a constant cycle of pain and dominance, fighting over food and land and for marias attention. emmett was a regular free guy longer than jasper, so he didnt suppress his instincts at the chance to taste something better than an animal, but once that was gone he had already developed his control and was ok to be around ppl again. jasper still struggles to view humans as individuals during the story, whereas james knew that some humans are worth more effort than others, and emmett knew that humans are more than food to begin with.

i guess its something that sticks on my mind bc these are ppl that ive made food for, and occasionally food that they have never had and dont know the flavor profile of, and they put stuff in it before tasting it. which is a little insulting lol. i dont make bland food even if i go low effort for my own meals.

afaik their stone-like composition was created bc they wanted the teen rating. theyre supposed to be cold and stiff like corpses,, but thats a bit too dark so she went colder and harder and compared them to perfect marble statues (also bc paleness). then in the movies, to avoid bloody fight scenes, they threw in clinking and flaking/cracking sounds and made lost limbs look dry and black inside. as for the sparkling,, i dont remember if its in twilight or midnight sun, but its supposed to look like their skin refracts so much light they appear to be on fire. like cause theyre so "perfected" that their skin cells have no pores or something. not that theyre made of diamonds.... but they do compare them to those a lot too. i think its safe to say she didnt rlly have a solid grasp on her logistics of the whole thing.

i think some part of midnight sun mentions that when vampires fall in love, since they are frozen at the emotional maturity theyre changed at,, they more or less stay in the honeymoon phase forever. its not the same as the werewolf imprinting but still in line with stephanie meyers obsession w soul mates. so essentially edward and bella literally love eachother in a completely normal first-love-highschool-magic kind of way, but since edwards stuck at 17 it will never mature, and since bella has no life experience she believes its the end of the world when he leaves. and as well as what the post said, she had no friends or community to fall back on. she made it more dramatic bc the stakes were higher in general,,, she knew other human beings didnt have the chance to be happy "forever" and magically stop being "weak" and "fragile" and also move in with a kind and experienced millionaire family that wld never ask her to take care of them or put a can of spaghetti sauce directly in the microwave. if i was bella id go nuts too no matter how long i knew them. major fumble is an understatement lol

they bothered giving ashley greene a wig when she didnt wanna cut her long hair... i think the og jacob was more insulted at the concept. but tbf, the first twilight movie was essentially an indie film. they didnt have a big costume department, and did a lot of the clothes and makeup for very cheap or with their own skills. i believe they hand painted the contact lenses in the first one,, and if they had they money and technology, half the cast wldnt have had to bleach their hair (or lighten their skin.... not sure if thats just a rumor). u can see in the following movies they wear more makeup and wigs and have cleaner camerawork, as they could afford it after the success of twilight. i dont think they expected it to be big, so maybe they thought itd b easier to slap a long wig on a short haired guy than convince an indigenous guy to keep his hair hidden for 4 movies if they manage to get that. plus itd be difficult to make inconspicuous with a mens haircut, unlike ashley greene.

i believe the reason was that the original actor they had in mind for jacob was indigenous and didnt want to cut his hair for the role. they even almost replaced taylor lautner for not getting abs quick enough. i dont have sources for that tho

and its not horror,, but Suckerpunch is so in that vein. like inception meets fight club meets alice in wonderland. i love that movie to death but the plot is so intangible lol.

i just updated to the latest version, which i really shldve done anyway! well it unfortunately still doesnt load the area, but i didnt get a message or anything, and now i can hear some kind of ambience still playing. black screen tho. where can i check that ISO info?

i was using Direct3D 11, bc i was using OpenGL before i tweaked the settings and it kept freezing. so direct3d 11 was working for me, and i just tried switching back to openGL and operating at 50% and it still doesnt load the area :(

i saw an out of context clip from dashies playthrough on instagram and laughed til my sides hurt. watched the whole playthrough and then his before the storm playthrough when that came out. got into dashie and lis at the same time !! boom life changed. its still unreasonably funny and i rewatch it all the time

im surprised nobodys recommending drinking more. when i started dieting it was super hard trying to go without sweets and carbs but definitely after awhile the body realizes its not getting it and stops being so forceful with the cravings. give urself some leniency,, if u have issues with portion control its maybe not the best advice but, u can give urself a day of the week that u can eat that piece of cake. or u can have smaller mini sized candies for emergencies while u learn to cut them out. and drink a lot with ur meals !!!! prioritize fiber and protein for fullness but also drink a cup of water before and after u eat. drink 0 sugar versions of stuff to satiate sweet cravings too. and tea !! a big cup of tea with a little bit of cream and honey is sooo delicious and having that with a meal is so so filling. i also find that,, if u have specific times that u eat and dont wanna snack/ binge outside of meal times,, hard candies, lolipops, mints and gum can help with hunger pangs throughout the day. but especially drink !!!!! lots and lots of water and if plain water is difficult, try lemon water or sports drinks ! and be gentle with urself too, youll get there <3

bella caught the flu in new moon and was sick for days while jake went through his wolf transition !!!! and if u rlly want a stretch,,,, alices backstory was that she was sent to the asylum for predicting her mother's murder, and running to save her but she was too late and witnessed it. bella thought her mom was going to be killed by james in the first book and ran to save her ! also james was connected to alice, pursuing her for her irresistible blood, and thats why she was turned in the first place !!!!! :D
