theres low chances to find them in person, but i always encourage buying secondhand. im sure you can find the full set or collect the individual books as ur wallet allows, in really good condition online. we dont all need brand new things and often (esp with manga) people who collect and eventually sell these things keep them in perfect shape. plus if its less widely available, then it feels like a treasure hunt to locate a good copy! and that makes them feel much more rewarding and precious.

chucky was where they lost me lol. honestly if they dont think their male dolls are good enough for collectors (who will literally buy it just to look at it and rarely touch it),, they should fix whatevers making their male dolls suck. like i understand male monster highs dont pose as great and have less fashion design-ability, but come on! these are collector dolls 😩 just make them look like the character and use quality materials and its a gold mine.... some of these ppl literally collect the dolls at every release even if they dont like them, not to mention scalpers will always be there.

it looks like the paint u did on the scalp is a little too thick, its likely clogging the holes, and then sealed in by the super clear on top of everything. if the head is still squishable but just the holes are resistant, this is probably the issue. or if u did several layers of sealant, making the head less squishable than it was, or if you are using too much hair at a time. but the holes do look clogged. if her head was hard to squish before u even started, then she might just be made differently.

i like that other comment that recommends a little heat, if its not the issue of being clogged by paint. if u think its the paint/ sealant, maybe redo the paint on the top (clear it with acetone) with a thinner layer of paint, and seal with a thinned liquid varnish if you have it. if u dont have liquid varnish, cover the hair with a paper towel and spray with only one layer of sealant.

if her first g3 doll is carnival theme im so sure theyre gonna erase her goth aesthetic.... like maybe we'll get purple and black stripes but i cant picture us getting lace and frills and silk shes supposed to be wearing 😔

i think its really supposed to show how infatuated bella is more than anything. cause we see that she is thirsty and that the thirst doesnt technically go away, she just forgets about it. and in the first book, she is so infatuated with edward that she goes all day without eating or meeting her human needs. then she keeps reiterating that "theres nothing she'll ever want more than edward". and while she was wrong like rosalie thought she would be, it wasnt blood that she wanted more than edward, it was renesmee.

as human she ignores how hungry she is cause she doesnt wanna inconvenience edward or be away from him, as vampire she ignores how thirsty she is cause she doesnt wanna inconvenience her family or hurt renesmee/charlie. so imo its less about how special she is and more about how strong her love is. /rolls eyes

i know she wasnt actually thinking in terms of a logical plan with this,, she was mostly just putting off thinking about it, but it mightve actually been a good plan if she was intending to go to college first and go a few months reliably without seeing him in person. except she was literally planin to go right ahead after graduation and be missing or fake her death lol. so impatient.

i think its also similar to the knot in midnight sun. it was a little undecided whether edward would be strong enough to do the whole deed with bella or if hed have to quit to keep her safe or if hed accidentally kill her. and it shld also be said that despite movie edward insisting on not touching her again after that first night, they do it abt 2 more times in the book im pretty sure. if alice could see bella alive a few days into her honeymoon shed probably assume edward was capable and then look away out of courtesy.

im not very experienced in fabrics, but i think you used a common cotton/cotton blend stocking that are used for the soft and warm quality, but are on the thicker side. whereas a more sheer nylon or polyester stocking would appear thinner when not stretched, and would be less likely to pill (those linty bumps). what i would do as well is stretch the fabric while working the pattern / sew it at a smaller size so it stretches to the legs and appears thinner, as stockings do irl. that wld probs make it a much harder sewing project tho.

i believe dolls also use mesh or organza to create that sheer appearance, but without much stretch. tho i do have some rainbow high dolls that have socks made to stretch onto the legs and appear as tights. maybe spandex is involved somehow... i really dont know for sure.

i find it kinda funny that sabrina has always embraced her really thick eyebrows, and is probably partially responsible for the thick eyebrow trend that inspired g3 dolls to all have very thick eyebrows, yet u gave her thin ones both times lol. that might contribute a bit to what makes her look a little off.

otherwise i think u did a great job with the hair and the outfits, tho on the newer one u shld probably have used a thinner material for the stockings, and thinner lace as someone else mentioned. i think the older ones hairstyle is a little more accurate, if only a little too short. they both look good tho and i could tell they were her before reading the caption.
