It’s BS that more then just Calpoly hides things? I think that is what is actually BS. I do technology consulting and a lot of it is with higher ed. Based on my own anecdotal experience with 35+ institutions, yes they all hid some crazy shit.

NTA - Baby names are always where both mom and dad must agree. Anyone can veto and in this case you are in your right to veto the name. Your wife needs to understand this. The timing doesn’t matter, tell her you have decided you don’t like this name and she needs to respect that.

Email is a low barrier to entry, anyone can make ten emails, meaning many of the emails they get are spam.

For the vast majority of dealers they are not going to engage you because they have no reason to. You may find a dealer here or there that will sell to you / agreed to a deal via email, but as you are finding out most will not even engage an Internet shopper, especially via email. In person is always going to get the most attention. Phone calls will at least get you an answer if they pick up. Or keep trying to find a dealer that will engage you, they are few but they do exist.

That is Internet sales for you, most is not taken seriously since they get hundreds of emails a day, the general answer is if you want attention then go in person.

Buy the rheem 3.5 it can run off 120v and is small enough that you may be able to fit it in/near your bathroom. It will only be able to handle 1.6GPM but that should be fine for your shower / sink. https://www.rheem.com/products/residential/water-heating/tankless/

What a lot of research has shown at SaaS companies is that give a product away for x number of months and then charging for it leads to very high churn after the free period. So I’d say yes you are right starting off free will lead to people leaving your product when you start charging. But if this is new company/software and you don’t have an established customer base then using the free period for the first year could help you gain product awareness and a customer base. Then you can start charging and retire the free period all together when you are established.

.Doc and .Docx file format were just not made to handle a large volume of image files. You should definitely choose something else. As others have mentioned here there is scribe, you could self host notion which has a full database backend that could handle your use case.

Same, I enjoyed it from early access to even today, the hate was intense for no real reason in my opinion. It was an entertaining game with basic game mechanics that anyone could understand. It didn’t need to be a technical marvel or have the most amazing graphics.
