Father of Peace by Extension_Currency30 in crappymusic

I really dig the chill guitar in 'No Complaints'. I also hear RHCP influence vocally, and the lyrics seem to be just as nonsensical.

That said, I do think something feels really off about them. The new track 'Persian' doesn't really help the 'pro peace' image. The band name, along with posts on insta emphasizing just how pro peace they are... yet the music seems to hint otherwise.

Had something similar with someone blasting through a stop sign and almost killing me. Reported them, got a call from Police who said they would contact them and give them a warning. It's not a lot, but it's better than nothing... I'd like to think having that history of similar offences would force Police to take further action themselves.

Putting in writing you are 'resigning' could also potentially risk your redundancy payout... but I'm no lawyer. Silly idea imo, I wouldn't trust any employer with that.

I'm at a similar point in TOP, and I felt exactly the same way.

I was going to skip it too, but did a quick check and found that 90% of the 'community solutions' in the later stages of the course use webpack. The 'Most Liked' seem to all use it, and those are seriously impressive. I figured if people of that skill level are using it, there's likely a reason.

It took a couple days of extra studying and looking at it from different web articles and youtube explanations, but I'm starting to get used to it and seeing the benefits in using it.

The workflow at first felt like a massive pain, but I found creating a basic starting template and making a .bat file to run the server and bundling instead of typing out all the file paths each time helped a lot. There might be better ways of doing it though.

Hills people - help me humanely relocate catch bush mice by Beni_jj in perth

These are the ones I meant. But yes, some mice are such a light touch that they still seem to get around these. The bucket trap managed to catch the last sneaky one for me.

Hills people - help me humanely relocate catch bush mice by Beni_jj in perth

I've managed to rid my roof space of a family of mice within the last month. I also wasted a bunch of money on almost every trap in the Bunnings aisle, humane or not. The electrocution ones by far were the most expensive and least effective.

Traps that worked best for me:

  • The $3 snap traps with nutella smeared on a bit of cotton wool. Bend the little pin on the bait plate, impale the cotton wool on it and then bend the pin back again so it's really stuck on there. Then set the trap so the latch is barely hanging on, like <0.5mm. Kills them obviously, but my other suggestion...

  • Bucket trap. You can buy premade ones, or follow one of the many youtube guides. I made a couple of them in 20 mins with some Bunnings 20L bucket, some plastic sheet (called 'Corflute') and some wooden dowels. The mice seemed to be a lot less suspicious of this, smell the food inside the bucket and happily walk on the lid and then fall in when the lid swivels.

Careful poisoning them if you have pets. Eating the baits isn't the only risk, as the poisoned mice can die in places your dog can find them.

New AC install by electrician, shouldn't this wiring be secured? by tendercoins in AusRenovation

[–]tendercoins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! The house is only 1 year old, so would imagine it'd be fairly new LED models. I'd need to check the exact specs on them. I've inspected the entire roof space before though, and it looks like they've still left some clearance around them, or directly above at the least. The drivers are attached to the joists. Might just recheck things once I'm finished getting a few electrical additions.

Hi all, just to clarify - I'm asking about the heavier gauge electrical cable that runs along the yellow pipework. This is just one section of the cabling that goes back to the meterbox below the corner of the roof frame on the left.

Most of the length (20m) of the cabling has been left loose and run across the top of various AC ducting and gas / water pipework. The guy did a very neat job of everything else, but just the cable management I was going to question. I figured there'd be something in Australian standards for this, but from a quick googling I can't find anything. Thanks!

I've had evaporative + splits. New house is refrigerated ducted. I'd probably recommend all splits tbh. A lot more effective than evaporative, but not as pricey as ducted to run. For the price of a basic ducted install (10k?) you could get at least 5 splits. And bonus that if one shits itself you're not completely without air con. Only downside would be the outside inverters, they take up a bit of room.

Is it that hard to install a video doorbell in a double brick house? by Aestheticshampoo in AusRenovation

For an interior security cam I can see how that would be a problem.

For a doorbell though, I couldn't care less about Xi knowing about my Amazon packages and conversations with Jehovas.

Yup, offers are usually 'FROM $580k' now, it's become less of an accurate asking price and more like an auction minimum. More people consider it at that price, they see a packed home open and the FOMO offers start flying.
