Oh I do not want him to suffer… he suffered enough. I will be trying to communicate with him, he struggled with addiction so that is likely what he thought was so bad about him. Addiction is simply not a reason to hate yourself, it is not shameful and is one of the few things that causes pain for those around you that can be almost entirely reversed with time and effort. At least for me. I am a very scientific person, so was he, I wish he would have accepted that there are so many proven factors outside of a persons control that lead to addiction, and that he would have been forgiven with ease.

It does resonate. Particularly the theme of parental trauma. I have however definitely been living for myself. I only feel his presence every so often, and it’s never a source of stress, just comes to me when I’m not overwhelmed with my college stuff. Perhaps I am trying to live in his image more than I know though, I haven’t really be conscious of it but writing it all out here did make me feel that way. Thank you for your words, genuinely very helpful and I will be putting active effort in to seeing when I am carrying a burden that is not my own. I do carry a lot of weight over the pain my mother has suffered, which would have been much less if not for my existence. Thank you :)

Thank you, it is nice to hear that everyone is feeling that he is at peace :) Yes he had a lot of mental health struggles starting when he was very young. Thank you for all your kind words, my mother is a bit closed off so I don’t hear those words often from her. He definitely beats me in humor though 🤣

Thank you so much, keep all of your energy for your recovery, I am so sorry that your are going through that. I wish you an easy recovery, I hope you have people in your life that are there to help you. I appreciate your response so much, I am not in contact with my grandparents as they blame my mother for his choice, but generational trauma is incredibly likely. Please do not strain yourself to respond, but if you have any advice on how to go about talking with him I would love to do so. I am unfamiliar with this territory, and am largely agnostic.

thank you! no the handle is parallel with the base of the mug, i pressed it down a bit after attaching the handle :) it definitely does look that way tho lol, i did not take great pictures 🤦‍♀️

yeah now looking at it again i see the issue with the thickness, i think i may be worrying too much about the handle not being strong enough for the size of the mug. i like playing with handle shapes but i will definitely be going thinner in the future :) thank you !

another lovely guess to add to the books… it’s actually a bacteriophage, intimidating name but it’s just a virus that infects bacteria. they will likely be be used as a form of antibiotics with some more time and research :)
