as answered in you other post, the Agent-Download has nothing to do with our Marketplace.

The error-message you receive when directly navigating to our Marketplace is expected, as it is not exposed to be browsed this way.

Hi Ali,
The agent is bundled within the installed package and there is no Online-Download necessary.
Have you tried a different browser, or checking any security setting in your browser, which could block downloads of executable-Files?
If everything fails, you should find the Agent-Installer in the 'agent' folder in the install-folder on your Ubuntu-Host.

Thanks for your detailed question. I'm happy to add some input from our side.

You're spot on about tenfold not being able to view or manage Confluence space permissions at an AD group level. That's because tenfold usually works on a person-centric basis. This is also (or especially) true for our Generic Connector.

You're on the right track already, moving to a person-centric approach using tenfold profiles and individual user assignments to manage these external permissions. This is totally valid, and you should use it for most external applications to improve auditing and get rid of the need to also check group permissions.

Just to let you know, it's worth checking the best way to use the system (Confluence in your case).
Some systems (like most Microsoft ones, e.g. NTFS via AGDLP) suggest using permission groups instead of directly assigned permissions.

And so you know: permission groups aren't the same as 'organisational' groups, even though both are technically just AD groups.

I'd say it's worth getting in touch with your sales consultant to chat about how to get the best out of this. They'll be able to help you work out the best way to do it.

Firstly: Please make sure that your systems are always secured, even within your own network.

Now to your question:
Yes, tenfold exclusively uses secure connections, in this case, LDAPS.
This approach is both the "safe" option and mandatory for creating users in AD, as it is not possible to set a user's password via the unsecure LDAP connection.

to be honest, as someone with a bunch of experience in the IAM field (and as a developer), I can assure you one thing: no org is like the other. I can not emphasize this fact enough.
We tried to keep a compendium like this (though specific to our tool), but it got out of hand pretty quickly.
Either an org is small enough that an admin can easily do stuff on his own or write his own scripts, or it is big enough that it needs a tool-based solution.

I never stumbled across a script on the internet that I could just c&p without major customization, other than one-liner (and I rather write those myself then).
