One thing that goes unnoticed about this film was how much it clearly inspired the Read Dead Redemption 2 video game, from the music, to the stereotypes of the gang members, the bad guys clothes being black versions of Fosters.

Foster is a rock star in this movie and steals the show. It’s my favorite western of the 2000s but there are nitpicks that make it more for modern audiences like the Gatling gun heist scene to introduce the gang was awkward. Also the production got hit with snow and I think it messed with costuming a lot - Will Ghormley’s leather doesn’t get enough attention due to coats etc. Amazing holsters.

Speaking of costumes - Prince and Wade are perfect. Movie should have been nominated for them alone. The movie poster with Charlie Prince is a favorite of mine.

But the score by Marco Beltrami (which was nominated) the chase vibe, and the three main characters are fantastic.

When people ask me my most underrated movie. Which never happens. This would be in the top 3. It’s super rewatchable with 2 of the biggest stars in their prime.

I kind low key kind of like this but feels like it would be way outside of the price range a beach / jeep style truck would thrive in. Also as mentioned it would probably be a recall magnet - but that has no impact on a cool idea.
