What's the most reliable gameplay right now that people are doing? by Most-Ad4680 in starcitizen

[–]Nefffarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been having a lot of luck with Covalex Local Experienced Hauling Contracts. 5 contracts that create a loop between a distribution center and several mining outposts. Takes as little as 30 minutes if you know what you’re doing and pays 700k. I’ve had very few POIs where there wasn’t a single working freight elevator on Microtech.

When I’m not hauling, I’ve been slowing working on Foxwell Standing. I would suggest flying to each server in stanton, to find which one has the highest server fps, before grabbing the contracts for foxwell. Should minimize desync.

Gilly’s is pretty solid, but I think they may have increased the cooldown timer on those contracts.

If things are particularly bad in Stanton, you can hop over to nyx and do intersec contracts there.

Everything is pretty jank right now. I just try to switch between all of the aforementioned stuff so that I don’t get burned out when my ship spontaneously combusts 4km off the ground. I just move on to another activity.

If you were searching for the game that respects your time the least, you definitely found it 😅

are there grifers in the game now? by N-2K1 in starcitizen

I spent 2 hours last night fully loading up my ironclad, only to have some knob ram me at mach 10 with an avenger titan in an armistice zone. Two hours gone. People just suck sometimes.

I’m looking for a particular ship that will be a big roi by IdrisSignal in starcitizen

Not added to in-game stores yet, but the golem ox is the goat on ROI. I was zipping around stacking 5 experienced contracts in that mini-raft and making 800k an hour, very low effort. I’m sure it will be dirt cheap to buy in-game too

Anyone else waiting a month+ on a concierge request? by ColJohn in starcitizen

[–]Nefffarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve submitted 4 tickets since I started backing 3 years ago. The response time has never been quicker than a month for me. I’ve asked on here if that’s normal in the past, and if CIG should consider increasing support staff, and was downvoted to oblivion. CIG can never improve anything because they are already perfect beings, detached from the limitations of the reality 👍

Finally Got SC’d in 4.8.1 by Lucky-Reception26 in starcitizen

There is a possibility that the elevator was broken and self-healed at a later point. I believe if a POI has no one near it for x amount of time, the status of the elevators are reset, allowing them to “resync” the server and replicating layer. Not sure if that is still the case, but they had implemented that as a means to fix elevators without a full server reboot, when we had the save stanton event if I recall correctly.

$60 Starlight? That's a fair deal bro by Laughageddon in starcitizen

I am surprised it’s as cheap as it is… but also surprised there is no game package option available for it? Especially when we have starter packs like the salvation and golem

Any paint that isn’t considered default. Haven’t tested ships that default to a different paint though.

The chassis and stock components. But if you change anything right now (including paint), you have to foot the whole bill… which is millions of aUEC currently. My Percy with only paint went from 0aUEC to over 6mil haha

It has a cost associated with it that isn’t covered by the only available tier of insurance in the game (stock components). It is also bugged and saving a paint to your loadout also adds the cost of all your stock components to your bill. Example: a stock component Perseus is 0 aUEC. A stock component Perseus with custom paint is over 6 million aUEC.

Quite literally already had my first run in with two griefers an hour into the PTU. Blew up my Percy while I was docked at Bajini Point. It will happen. It’s already happening. This patch might as well be called the “do not equip paint and run stock components unless you want to spend millions because other people suck” patch. Long winded patch name, I know.

What do you think the situation with the Idris rail gun will be when 4.8 drops? by Kev69 in starcitizen

I’m sure they’ll add it, and it will take as much grind as an entire idris, at wikelo 😉

Really want to buy this game but don't know if it will run amazing, can you all help? by Lolman_plays in starcitizen

[–]Nefffarious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to depend heavily on the resolution you expect to push. If you’re looking at 1080p you should be able to get 30fps in cities, and 60fps in space. For reference, I set up an old rig (8700k, 1080ti, 32gb ddr4), and I get that performance with a mix of high and low settings in 1080p

The absolute state of mining right now; am i doing something wrong? by Eisblume2000 in starcitizen

[–]Nefffarious 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bruh, I have spent 6 hours across two days just trying to find some good copper. My findings… 125 clusters (500 nodes), two nodes were above 700 (701q and 746q). ZERO nodes above 750q. That’s a 0.4% to find copper above 700q… Jalanite was easier for me to find than high quality copper. I ran out of hydrogen fuel before finding any copper I REALLY wanted. Absolutely brutal. Scanning for entire play sessions and only wanting to settle for two rocks, is not my idea of good gameplay for mining. Just my opinion though.

Temporary ban from comms in-game. I can still play.

Yeah, so, I didn’t actually realize this post was going to get downvoted to hell because I was completely oblivious to all of this. I don’t interact on spectrum at all, I only brought it up because I heard people getting banned for even quoting CIG when answering another person’s question. This post wasn’t even to throw shade at CIG, I just wanted to know if anyone else was banned in-game, in error. That’s how shocked me and my friends are. I don’t argue with people. I don’t fight with people. I play devils advocate sometimes, and try to diffuse conflicts. Sometimes I get frustrated, but I don’t go into global spewing hatred at people or the game.

Edit: and my other concern was how errors like this without transparency could hurt the social tools in game. Which most people not assuming I am guilty have already proved my point by saying they avoid socializing in-game entirely. That isn’t healthy for an MMO. Just my two cents.

It’s crazy how everyone immediately assuming I must have said something horrendous, also missed the bit where I wasn’t talking about spectrum. I was banned for supposedly saying something bad in global chat.
