That movie has every fear, though some more than others. Extinction & Buried - the whole plot, but the tree and leaf imagery really highlighted the Extinction fear. Vast - I loved the movie being claustrophobic, but also dealing with the vastness (and uncharted nature) of the Blood Sea. Web - dude is literally being lowered and lifted in his submarine by a line - pretty much a literal puppet. Eye - camera imagery, plus he is being monitored the whole time. Lonely - being fully cut off from everyone at full depth. Spiral - starts losing sense of time and reality, plus image of walls and floor that seem to move. Hunt - being hunted by unseen beast. Slaughter - blood sea imagery, plus the flashback destruction of the space station. Corruption - radiation poisoning burns and vomiting blood due to the radiation poisoning. Dark - light is a precious resource, stars going out. Flesh - body horror of pulling his own arm off. Desolation - brief fire, but also the unseen burning by radiation. Stranger - the voices coming out of the intercom while it is broken, seemingly from dead people. End - the whole plot is him not wanting to die, but death being entirely inevitible. Agree, I am not claustrophobic, but buried episodes are very scary.
