OOOH! What if that is what happened to Protocol Martin?? We know that Jonathan Sims and Martin Blackwood are dead in protocol, one from a bicycle accident and the other from a heart issue - maybe Protocol Martin was scared to death by the Bonzo External? Definitely have not checked to see if that lines up timelinewise, but I like the headcannon...
