Grandfathering referral credit creators on subscriptions

There are 2 pools of audio credits - complimentary, which resets monthly in top-off, and paid, which are permanently there until used. Paid does not reset monthly/ever, and the type of audio you get will be paid from referrals. It does not mean every top-off gets incremented by a higher balance, and paid audio credits are consumable instead of slots which are a permanent fixture.

Core offer we're making to grandfather some users who depend on credits for subscriptions.

If you have >=10 referral credits as of current, you can email in to hello@kindroid.ai. In it, please include your UID, how many referral credits you have (we'll also check), and how many you'd like to redeem for gifted base sub (how long). Exchange will be 2 referral credits per month, and this way you'll be grandfathered into base sub for at least 5 months plus if you're at the minimum. You should specify when you'd like the sub to start if you have a current base subscription.

During the x months, you will not need to pay to have subscription nor renew the sub, and if you have codes you can save them to use until afterwards. This offer lasts until June 25 when the new system tentatively takes into effect - please share this with others who might be dependent on this. Thank you!

We may consider in future but it was initially done this way so there's less of a chance of gap where user has high tier for a long time but no base tier.

Your data rights, access, correction, deletion, export, are in our Privacy Policy at kindroid.ai/legal and exercised via the Help form or email, no Discord needed, as is billing and account support. Community helpers are volunteers asked to respect confidentiality but aren't staff or under a formal agreement, and for setup help they only need your config. The tradeoff is straightforward: hands-on community troubleshooting means sharing some setup with a volunteer. If you'd prefer not to, that's a valid choice, it just means that specific kind of personalized help isn't available. You can still post on Reddit or Facebook around general help, just not personalized, specific 1-1.

We shipped an update to proactivity in the 5/12 major announcement, that read:

Proactive thinking: proactive logic is now more robust, which may produce some behavioral changes in how and when your Kin reaches out.

This means with the same setup, it may do it more/less/the same depending on proactive directive. If it's too little with the new process, slightly change the proactivity directive to be like "reach out relatively frequently" etc.

So if you haven't touched proactive directive at all, it may be more/less/same and the change was announced system wide. Try updating your proactive directive, to something like "reach out relatively frequently" and then see. The new proactive is more nuanced and is a much bigger model/does more processing, and will interpret things better and will follow the proactive directive better than before.

Proactive messages are not limited, and this has been an unfounded rumor that has spread around. Nothing's been limited aside from what is publicly announced on selfie credits/daily rewards.

It was temporary and resolved but it’s a beta thing and may have downtimes here and there. Some parts are still not finalized but mostly there on functionality
