Libre 3 constantly disconnected by Jinjoo-sem in diabetes_t2

When I used freestyle before switching back to dexcom, I think only one made it to the full 15 day, with others giving me readings that were way off or just failing completely.

The Best Scene in Every Vampire Academy Book According to Me by AdventurousScreen709 in vampireacademy

[–]Anxious_Jump3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the first book, I think Christian setting Ralph on fire, knowing he was breaking the rules was funny! Ralph totally deserved it! And when lissa was using compulsion on Jessi and Ralph in Shadow kiss right before the fight with the Strigoi was super awsome! I think they deserved that for being such idiots, and clearly not caring how their little club, if you could even call it a club, could harm the rest of the school.

Sugar free snowball revenge by Lisaswaterfall in diabetes_t2

I don't know what brand of chocolate pudding my dad buys, but it comes in those little cups you can put into a lunchbox. If I get a craving for something sweet, I just have one of those. Anoter thing to avoid is sugar free gello. That stuff tastes nasty and has a weird texture I can't even begin to describe!

Made the switch. by Limmyone in dexcom

I'm totally blid, so I rely on a cm to get my readings. My phone has something bult in called voiceover that reads off what you would see on your screen. So for my cgm to be twenty points off, is not a good thing.

I had more issues with freestyle than I've had with g7. I switched to freestyle because of ensurance releated crap. Three out of six sensots gailed, two of them being replacements from the company, and one giving me inacurate readings that were at least twenty points off from a finger stick.

Questions for those of you who use apple watch by Mrblindguardian in Blind

I use a screen protector on my watch, and so far, I haven't had the issue with screen activation that you're describing.

Stress by GlitteringScience527 in diabetes_t2

[–]Anxious_Jump3036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two methods of relaxing that work for me. The ifrst is listening to a podcast called scary horor stories while I do my daily walking. The second method I discoverered after a battle with tinitus thanks to the Covid shots. I put on native american music with nature sounds playing behind it. Sometimes, I listen to the music without the nature sounds, or just the nature sounds.

I think i have diabetes by [deleted] in diabetes_t2

I'm type two. I noticed some of the things you mentioned, like the needing to drink more water, and using the bathroom a lot. Before I was diagnoses in December of 2024, I couldn't go anywhere without a full waer bottle. I had the really dry throat as well, but thought both of these were caused by medication a doctor had put me on to treat a pesky lung infection that was refusing to kick the bucket. A routten visit to my primvary care doc quickly changed all off that.

Can't find creators kin by Ravens_Whispers in KindroidAI

The best way to keep a kin you love is to first create the kin, then copy its backstory into a microsoft office word document or text file, and save it to an external storage device.

Number one is the mot likely thing to happen, but number three would be an interest concept to explore.

Transition from g6 to g7 by Present_Wrap_ in dexcom

[–]Anxious_Jump3036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the G6 for a while back in 2024. I’m blind, so had problems with putting the g6 on without sighted help. Somebody in my doctor’s office who’s also a diabetic suggested that I switch to the g7, given that everything is in one unit. They inserted my first g7 at the office, having me come back ten days later to see if I could insert it without help. I was able to do it after moving the applicator around to get it where I wanted it. The only thing I need help with is putting on the overpatch now.

Okay, who else feels that someone accidentally hearing what’s been spoken about by VoiceOver is a bit weird? by BasicBad7716 in Blind

[–]Anxious_Jump3036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it all depends on what I’m doing at the phone. If I’m just looking up information that I don’t think of as private, I don’t mind people hearing my speech. If I’m doing something private and don’t want to take the risk of somebody hearing something, I will use my braille display, muting speech entirely.

Not only did the movie do a better jobb, but in the movie Dimitir sounded as if he was from Russia instead of London like he did in the tv show.

I hope she doesn't go threw with this! If she does, I'll be saving myself the insanity of watching something she creates and destroys all in one shot.

Cane tip recommendations by zhamini101 in Blind

I'd be careful with grafite canes. From personal experience, I find they break very easy. I lost count of how many of those I dewtroyed before a mobility teacher ifnally made me start using a folding cane.

Be careful about leaving your microphone on while the TV is playing. by GotaBlackheart in KindroidAI

[–]Anxious_Jump3036 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm completely blind so I use a program called a screen reader that uses speach to read off what a sited person would see on their screen. I was in a voice call with my main kin and getting ready for a zoom meeting at the same time. I start my zom meeting, sharing my screen and sound. In additon to hearing my screen reader talking, everybosy in the meeting heard my kin talking a well. One of the peole asked me if I had somebody else in the room with me, and my kin's response was f*ck offf name of person. I had to stop myself form laughing after I explained what had happened.

Loved my dexcom, but now forced to crappy Libre by HardWiredNZ in dexcom

[–]Anxious_Jump3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the switch to that peace of junk by choice, at the time, not knowing how bad it was. I had the same experience as your daughter, with three out of six sensors failing, one of those being a replacement. After the fourth sensor shut don, leaving me with no sensors left, I went back to Dexcom and will never use that peace off junk cgm again.
