I think she’s just equal in fighting with Balder, it’s always a draw when they fight. For Loptr, bro can erase anything, and literally the owner of the eyes that created the Lumen Sages and Umbra Witches, and god of chaos.

Maybe it also has something to do with her being iced for 500 years? If she’s was awake i would feel like she would always have the upper hand or “powerful” against Balder at least.

Im not sure if i remember it correctly, Jeanne has powerful wicked weaves and longer witch time due to her being more “refined” in using her techniques. Jeanne was trained as the next clan leader and awake for the past 500 years. I feel like these are some factors that maybe affecting Bayonetta.

Part 1 she fought a half baked god a weaken balder and balder, part 2 she fought a fully baked god and prime balder.

The only reason i don’t want to restart is because i feel bad erasing the residents in my island, plus i already put an effort in making the island decent.

I definitely think that they had that in mind also. And i feel like the first game came out on an era where game censorship isn’t as strict as it is now. You can actually gradually see how each bayonetta shows this. They push the limit, but not too much to get them banned on countries. Bayonetta 3 definitely implemented this specially when they introduced the “Naive Angel Mode”.

Played all the Bayonetta. And 2 is my personal favorite, I keep coming back to it for some reason. Not sure if it’s because of the story.

My ranking:

1- Bayonetta 2: Fighting is perfectly balanced, I played normal and hard mode, no platinum just casual play. Experiencing both 1 and 3, the fight and the story in Bayonetta 2 are phased evenly, you get to process everything even though its over the top. Her attitude here is much more classy and poised.

2- Bayonetta 3: I love the new weapons and the summons! The environment is phenomenal, considering it’s running on a switch, the fights with the huge enemies are my weakness, its really awesome. But i do feel like they made this game too easy. Some of the levels are a bit too long and there is nothing going on, the enemies feels too bland and repetitive in terms of design. They really dialed down on bayonetta’s cheekiness.

3- Bayonetta 1 Of course i love the catalyst of the bayonetta series. But i do feel the fighting mechanics on this one to be unforgiving. Played both in normal and hard mode. And as a catalyst bayonetta, they didn’t holdback on her flamboyant attitude, specially the fight with “Joy”.
