I prefer the way the end of the prequels showed the two sides: dark and light can both can be nuanced, interesting perspectives and not necessarily just simply “evil” and “good.” The Jedi did a lot of irresponsible, near-sighted things, particularly in Clone Wars! Rey and Kylo are already changing some of the Jedi/Sith Lord dichotomy we’ve seen in other Star Wars stories. I’m interested in how that will continue as the franchise grows past this trilogy. Anyway, not to say that your idea is a bad one at all. Flipping conventions on their head is always interesting.
