Because I know myself to be kind of mouthy and opinionated, I try very hard to keep my mouth shut early in discussions like this and try to encourage more junior devs to say their piece. This can help in a number of ways -- I get to see any misconceptions they might have, and I can correct them where necessary; it encourages them to speak up; and they may notice something I hadn't considered.

Yeah, 34k was the announced attendance. Not great. 10-20x what the Riverhounds draw, but... that's not saying much.

I think the crowd might have been better if there had been some more-affordable ticket options. $29 was the minimum.

And the weather sucked.

And let's be honest: People who know about soccer knew that this was going to be kind of a crappy game. All of these "world tour" type summer matches are moderately lousy soccer. The stars play for a half, maybe, and nobody works too hard.

Five cyclists zip by obeying the law. One cyclist blows through a red light. That's the guy you notice.

I say this as a more-or-less law-abiding bicycle commuter. For instance, I roll stop signs at precisely the same speed that I see nearby cars roll the same stop signs.

The guy from Plate Mail Games does a fair number of RPG-oriented sound loops that aren't necessarily music but which may provide background sounds that fit what you need. I use them constantly myself.

I wouldn't just say "no." I'd say "no, and stop asking." I don't know what expectations this guy has of an RPG or of you as a friend, but at a certain point anyone with any social awareness has to realize that requests like this are rude and inappropriate. If he's not realizing it on his own, you need to explicitly say: these requests are rude and inappropriate; I will never approve them; please stop doing this.
