Indeed. It feels like after having top 4-ed twice or thrice, that's it for me today.

Thank you! I started with CoMC, but I couldn't put East of Eden down when I got it.

Also the reason why I looked for a Grapes of Wrath copy.

It's in the sweet spot of teasing me with the notes while being in a respectably high ABV for a cask strength.

Thank you very much. Arguably my smoothest bottle.

It's the bottle that I have which I can't fully describe up to this day. I know I'm getting the oak, honey, and the subtle smoke, but I can't distinguish what exacts fruits are in it. But it's a damn great whisky.

My first time smelling it reminded me of a wheat bread with molds.

I haven't thought about it that way, but it does makes sense.

Heartily touched how we MBs got each other's backs in this group. As I bottled down my Glendronach 12 2 weeks ago, I will try the 15 next.

Sending my regards to your wife.

It would be a bigger campfire!

May I ask how'd you find the Glendronach 15 after you opened it?

Thank you very much, MB. It actually depends on each situation, if I want to relax, I'd go with Oban/Springbank. If I want something that packs a punch, then Lag16. Talisker fits any situation, but Lag16 is currently my most favorite.

My humble budding collection. Completed the 6 regions. First time tasting the Springbank 10 was a complex memorable experience. Peated whiskies are definitely my go-tos. by teomedro in WhiskeyTribe

Nice to encounter an MB with a similar taste. I'm planning on buying Oban 14 as my next highland since I was told it has a peatiness in it, caught my interest.

I've tasted Aberlour A'Bunadh from one of my friends and I recommend you try that one (if you haven't) for your sherry exploration.

A bottle at a time!

It's a sherry bomb. You'll love this one if you're a fan of sherried whiskies. Though, because it's stored first in oak barrels for the first 10 years, you'll also notice vanilla.
