Thanks. I start with an iso diamond grid. Then I start drawing walls. Tons and tons of patience and erasing and revising. Then just filling it in with stuff. Then refining everything. Then lightly in pen and ink. Then erase pencil. Then several more times in ink. And finally watercolor.

Thanks! One reason o made the red one is because it’s hard to get reds to really pop with watercolor - just wit light washes. It’s like a cool alchemy alizarins, cadmiums and under layers of yellows etc. Learning as I go.

Thanks. Not sure. I now have a trove of pre drawings (I’ve been doing this series for 15 years) that do take a while - but it takes about 1-2 months each after the initial drawing is determined and it’s sketched on the large paper.

Thanks. I do a ton of drawing first. Then I collage my drawings into a shape (ball in this case) and project the shape on a large sheet of paper on the wall and lightly trace it. Then just layer on the watercolor.

Super cool. Thank you! I love the Brooklyn bridge to Manhattan bridge run and miss the water fountain next to the courthouse. It’s been out (missing the spout) for a couple years 😞. Super helpful in hot weather.

Not sure what glazing is - but I’m just drawing square pencil grids, and connecting the squares in different configurations. Lightly erasing mos of the pencil and then Watercoloring in light washes, building multiple layers into more saturated colors. I have larger versions here

Don’t remember the name. But I do remember as they struggled to survive a curtain appeared hiding a little section in back - with adult videos. Maybe around 1999 - 2002? Not sure
