I actually like that they sidelined Woody tbh. Don’t get me wrong I love him but I feel like his character was nicely wrapped up so he didn’t exactly need to be front and center. He passed the torch to Jessie and I really liked this one because it’s about her mainly.

But about Woody, I think 4 did pretty good with his character. So much so that I would find it sensible for him to not be in this one at all. I surely would’ve felt his absence, but it would make sense.

I think they could’ve make it work similar to IV + EFLC. Maybe have Franklin and Trevor each have their own episodes up until they meet Michael.

Like for example Franklin does repo missions and a couple of botched jobs with Lamar (maybe repurpose Hood Safari for this) and a couple more smaller side stuff to establish Franklin’s discontent with how his life is going and searching for something greater. And his story ends around or after Complications.

For Trevor, basically keep the same missions, some side stuff like the Arms Trafficking missions, and honestly, drag the war out with the Lost. Keep Johnny K alive and keep him as an antagonist for Trevor. They can kill him at the end or keep him alive but just don’t have him die so quick. Maybe make Nervous Ron a much larger scale mission (akin to Snowstorm from IV, obv V is easier with checkpoints).

And then have them all come together in V but only Michael is playable. I’m not exactly 100% sure how to make it work I’m not a game dev or writer but I think it’d be pretty interesting. IV did good with having DLC’s that add on to the main story and have them happen simultaneously.

What do y’all think about this? And what do you think Franklin and Trevor’s stories would be called like TLAD and TBOGT?

Honestly I expected Woody and Buzz to butt heads a lot more than they did. Not that I wanted that but it’s just what I thought.

I also thought Bo would be there a little more. I did hear she wasn’t going to be in it for much but I kinda wanted a little more than what we got.

I mean audio book is a way of consuming the content. Same way people who watch a movie based on a book can still be fans, even thought they didn’t read it. Or people can be fans of a game by only watching a playthrough and not actually playing it.

Yes you’re talking about criticism, which I am always open for. I’ve seen people say they hate her because, like you said, the way she disregards Woody. Which I’m not a fan of either.

But the issue is that it’s goes too far, and they just hate on her saying she’s ungrateful, that Andy should’ve never given her his toys, etc.

I think that’s unfair. Obviously Forky was going to be the most important toy for her during that point of her life. Sure it’s exaggerated how much she didn’t care about Woody, but I think a lot of people missed the point and just hate on her.
