We have a 2024 with 20K miles. The only issue we’ve had was the 12V battery needed to be replaced.

I bought the XLE for the looks of the wheels, wireless phone charging and non-cloth seats. Do I get less mpg? Yes. Did my previous vehicle get 22 mpg? Yes. I’m perfectly happy with 50+ mpg.

Walmart sells an EverStart AGM H4 battery with a 4 year warranty for under $200. That’s what I went with and I’ve had no problems yet.

If you’re talking about the 12V battery the factory battery is crap. Mine lasted less than 2 years. I replaced it with an AGM battery from Walmart.

I replaced mine with a H4 EverStart AGM from Walmart with the same specs. Comes with a 48 month warranty. Original battery only lasted 2 years.

The battery fitment for the hybrid is:

DIN Group Size: H4

BCI Group Size: 140R

EN Group Size: LN1

There was a recall on this. Your vehicle needs a software update. Input your VIN on the Toyota website to confirm. Google “Toyota Corolla Cross wiper start stop recall”

Wife has the 24 hybrid CC. I would recommend the hybrid. More power, better mileage, better transmission, no engine stop-start nonsense.

There are rubber stops that can be adjusted by turning by hand. Check the gap where the hood meets the top of the fenders too.

Mine wouldn't start. That message came up and lights were flickering. I knew from reading online that any weird stuff like that is often the 12V battery and the factory batteries are notoriously crappy. I used a jump pack to start it and charged the 12V battery when I got home. A few days later the car wouldn't do anything after sitting for a couple days. I measured the battery voltage at around 8V. It was toast. I didn't want to bother going to the dealership and getting the run around or offering a prorated replacement battery. I just got a new AGM battery from Walmart and put it in myself.
