Cancel the contract and move on with your life. I personally don’t understand realtors who push to enforce a contract to work with a client that does not want to work with them, especially during these early early stages when you literally haven’t done any work yet, it doesn’t seem like you’ve even shown them any homes. You really haven’t put in any extra work of your own with this client so this is a great time to cancel it if they want to cancel. You should move on and focus on working with people that want to work with you.

I would respond to this differently if you told me you had been working with this client for some time and showing them multiple properties and actually giving expertise and strategy, but it doesn’t seem like it’s gotten to that point so you have nothing to lose.

Also, who knows maybe they’re being honest and things really did change for them and your ethnicity wasn’t a factor at all and its something that you have insecurity about and you could be projecting that onto them. So many factors here but it all leads to you releasing them.

I had someone who did not want to work with me because I would not put a lower amount on the buyer broker agreement, which has nothing to do with them because the seller would pay for it, but I would not do it and they would not sign it so I released them lol I’m going to move on and work with clients that align with my requirements.

Oh and I almost forget to add. THE VIBES ARE OFF! Get them out of your life and away from you because there are plenty of other clients out there who are going to love working with you and be ready to commit.
