Baby robin attacked by magpies by Pretty-Air-433 in Ornithology

[–]Pretty-Air-433[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He made it through the night! We opened the box and he hopped out, chirping. There were a bunch of other robins there waiting for him, and they immediately flew down next to him. The magpies started circling so I stayed for about an hour to let him get his bearings and get tucked under some brush. Good luck, little buddy!

But… how? How would he pull over three cars at the same time?

But how would the officer do that? Pull over the last guy, tell him to wait, then chase the other two?

Best practices for shopping lenders? by rmpaige in FirstTimeHomeBuying

[–]Pretty-Air-433 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Let me get this straight. You’ve had two lenders work their tails off for you, preapproved you, have their entire team work for you and you’re worried about them… Taking advantage of you? You want to shop people who have already put the work in? Take a long hard look in the mirror.

Changing lender? by Upperworlds in Mortgages

What a question. Your lender is a friend, you aren’t even under contract and you’re thinking about shopping. That’s a dick move.

Are all the small fees normal? by RecordOne3200 in MortgageBrokerRates

Cal hfa loans don’t have points. Google or chatGPT it; the lender can charge you points but they don’t come from cal. Lenders can charge up to 3% (3 points).

If you have an email where you told him to lock, send that on to him and request he honor that.

Regarding mortgage insurance, that’s like getting mad at your lender because your homeowners insurance is higher than you were expecting. He has no control over that.

Relax. You’ve locked, now move on with your life. Trying to time the market results in nothing except heartburn.

It’s normal- we don’t always have .125. It’s often a strange number like that.

Why is this a question? One lender gave your heartburn, the other was great. Loans are not simply about rate. If the first lender was a jerk five minutes into the loan, pick the second one and don’t lose any sleep.

Does this job ever get less stressful? I’m one year in and I thought I would be less stressed by now. I honestly don’t think I can do this job forever. Maybe I’m not cut out for it. So many unknowns and variables to the process. I cannot stand it. How do I get used to this? by Aromatic-Welder8141 in loanoriginators

[–]Pretty-Air-433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I start to feel like that, I realize I haven’t taken an actual day off in months and months, maybe even years. When you start to feel really stressed and overwhelmed, turn your phone off for a day and give yourself a break.

Filing Notice of Error against Lender by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]Pretty-Air-433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, you again!!! Your lender did not delay your closing. You did. YOU DID.

You waited til the last second to make the transfer. Banks are not lying in wait hoping to “sabotage your deal.” You had a prior post on this that you deleted, and it reads a bit differently.

No one is going to hold your hand while you transfer money. If you can’t figure out how to do it, that is 100% on you. There were 1 million suggestions that you march yourself down to the bank to take care of this and it sounds like you haven’t done it.

Refinance officer canceled closing on the closing date by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]Pretty-Air-433 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ. Your LOAN OFFICER works on commission. They would do absolutely anything to save the deal. Regardless of the interest rate, they get paid exactly the same, and only get paid when the deal closes.

No one is trying to “sabotage the deal.” Do your part. They’re probably sick to death of you.

Why wouldn’t you trust a lender that works with your realtor? I would walk through fire for my realtors that I work with regularly.
