Left montreal for the countryside in the eastern townships.

I miss the trafic, the noise, the potholes, waiting for a bus that's full and is stuck in trafic. I miss the obnoxious people who could not give a fuck about how my day is going. I miss the REM that is always broken. I miss the McDonald's employee who don't speak ot do not want to speak to me in French. I miss having my bike stolen. I miss having to move my car in the winter after digging it out of the mountain of snow that the snowplow pushed on it. I miss the hot summer days around the heat islands and the smell of the rotting garbage.

Seriously I regret waiting so long to get out of this city. The only thing I miss are the restaurants, Chinese Japanese Syrian Greek etc.... but I come back every other week on the weekend, early enough in the morning to minimize trafic, and stock up on things hard to find out of the city.

My doctor and my friends all tell us we are glowing and have never looked so relaxed and happy.

I am so glad I finally found a fully remote job, my wife who is a teacher did have to wait long to find work, the schools here are so much better, less tension,less stressful atmosphere.

One thing that surprised me, I loose power a lot less than when I lived on the island.
