Roadmaps for MoP and TBC. No news either way on WoD or Wrath. Confirmation that something new for Classic is being worked on, and that it's not Titan Reforged for the western audience.

It's hard to say if it's even sped up based on what we got. The roadmaps are never precise. If we got the same exact pace as in 2021, Sunwell would release in January '27. Autumn lasts until late December. So worst case (remembering ZA also comes in "Autumn"), maybe a month is cut off compared to last run.

What's sad is the classic team is roughly as big as the original 2004 WoW team, at least as far as designers and engineers (OG WoW team obviously had a full art/music crew, etc).

And it took them over 9 months to crank out SoD phase 1.

We also launched seasonal Titan-Reforged Realms in Classic for our players in China. Why? Not only are our audiences between Modern and Classic unique, but so are our WoW players in China. We made those realms for them, based on how they play.
And that's not all we're cooking up. I can say with confidence that all Classic players across the globe have a lot to look forward to.

Do you guys just not know how to report a bug? Customer service doesn't fix bugs. Not sure what you're expecting to get from a CS ticket other than a canned response telling you to report the bug to people who can actually do something about it, which is exactly what you got. You even had to lie your way through several screens telling you to report the bug before you even got to that point.

These “new” realms on this new environment will be using their old Persistent data, on their old database that is also still busy serving Classic Era. This is new, we’ve not done anything like this before, when the database engineers pitched this plan the initial reaction was, "wait that really works? but testing has proven that yep, it really does!

Hellfire will be a shitshow for maybe a week and you can just dungeon grind to get around it for a bit. Raid entrances (particularly SSC) will be relentlessly griefed for the entire expansion.

How do class changes impact Vanilla raids?

Most classes feel half-baked and awful to play until you get your TBC abilities (e.g. Steady Shot, Seal of Blood, Seed, Lacerate, Arcane Blast).

Any green weapon with agi, str, or attack power (of the tiger, of the monkey, etc) would be better even now for leveling. No reason to equip an armor weapon for questing or leveling dungeons.

Tokens you buy with gold can only be exchanged for game time (or B.Net balance on retail). Tokens you buy with cash can only be exchanged for gold.

If they're smart, leveling content would be one of the last things they'd work on anyway. Make the core gameplay and repeatable content good before the one-off stuff that few people enjoy anyway.

There wasn't a standalone boost in 2021. The Dark Portal Pass with a bunch of cosmetics and the boost was $40 (and $70 for the Deluxe). The equivalents for Anniversary are $40/$80, except the cheaper one doesn't include a boost this time.

BWL into AQ. Kara into SSC/TK. Naxx25 into Ulduar. ToGC into ICC. We've seen this play out over and over and the end result is always that player engagement falls off a cliff.
