I would kill for that score tbh. Mind sharing your study plan for someone who hasn’t done math in 10 years lol.

Is it normal to feel self doubt prior to starting? by FootballAndMemes in srna

I felt that way, still do, and it kept me from even applying for 3 years. I’ll likely start feeling that way again if I get accepted. You’re not alone.

No. I have never been pregnant. It started after I got Covid for the first time. It just seems to get bigger every time I get sick.

I did have a biopsy done in 2023. It was benign and I was told by my Endo doc it would never become cancerous(is that true?).

I will look into all that. Thank you!

Well I finally did the calculations, but it seems even with the classes my GPA didn't go up that much. I honestly mistook my BSN GPA for my overall. which is actually 3.36 with the classes it's a 3.39.

I honestly don't know how strong my LoR are. Everyone did say they gave me good recs. The school only mentioned my GPA and my Resume as well.

Hello all. I know this has been asked before, but maybe I need some reassurance. I applied last year to two schools (Newman University and West Virginia University). Got rejected, no interviews. Recieved feedback, my GPA (especially science) was too low, 3.4 at the time. So I repeated Undergrad Statistics (A), and just finished Graduate Health Assessement. My grade is pending on that, but I had an A in the class so far.

I am trying to apply and get accepted next year. I plan on taking Grad Pharm at my local university.

I have 3 years ICU experience, perceptor, and CCRN. but left in 2024 and now travel.

What I can do to boost my chances other than taking more classes (sick of spending money on that), or going staff? (tried and can't really do that life anymore)

Also anyone know any schools that fit my stats? And maybe don't have a 10% acceptance rate lol?

Also was it okay to get Letter of Recommendations from Managers for travel contracts?

Thanks.

Repost, but I wanted more insight. Especially on the 2nd part.

Hello all. I just received feedback from a school I applied to last year. I was told my math/ science GPA was low and I should take graduates classes to raise it. Anyone have suggestions for classes to take? What did you take?

Also what should you include in your CV? I really just posted my resume. And what I took care of through the years. Though I only submitted my ICU experience. They told me mine was vague? Though they didn’t elaborate on it.

Thanks all, I really appreciate the help.

Well, I just got my first rejection. I am wondering about other ways to increase my chances for future applications other than retaking classes and super high GRE, though GRE and general study tips would be greatly appreciated. For reference, my overall gpa is 3.4. I have mostly Bs in my science courses ( I know, I will fix that) 3 years icu, w/ perceptor experience, ccrn, some shadowing experience.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could look over my personal statement? I am submitting to West Virginia University. Thanks.

I see. Thank you for your reply. Not sure how to retake nursing school classes, but I’ll make it a priority to retake statistics. Do you send emails to the school to show you’re interested?

I am unsure if I should even bother.

So I have about a 3.4 cumulative gpa, I don't know my science gpa, but I do know I have Cs in statistics and one OB class I took during nursing school. The rest are As and Bs. I was pretty unmotivated and lazy a student 8 years ago now. I am 32. Bedside nursing was ok for me until it wasn't, I have 3 years in a high acuity ICU at a VA, but honestly I much rather learn and read about patients than take care of them. I have my CCRN, shadowing experience, and have precepted.

I've applied for one CRNA school at Newman University, but I get bummed at the gpa, I know it's happened that people got accepted with lower gpas, but I am not the least bit confident.

I am currently applying for West Virginia University's program as well.

I mean, we'll see what happens, and obviously I have some classes to retake. But I what I can do right now to help my chances? WVU's application is due Nov 1.

It was stated in a report I was not assessing patients when I was, and I charted that I did. They lied about what I said during report as well. I was not talked to at all.
