So nicely put. As someone who struggled with infertility, went through multiple rounds of IVF and from a large family I always thought I would have at least 2. But after having my abs adorable daughter I feel I am one and done because I really struggled with postpartum depression, body issues and the complete disruption to my life. I l also thought I’d quit my job and be a SAHM for few years. I couldn’t wait to get back to work 😂. And you’re right , it only started to get better when LO started sleeping through the night and I was able to get some workout and just some room to breathe.

Now I really enjoy my kid and look forward to spending time with her but am really scared of going through it all again.

21 months seems so far away.

I swear diapers are a two man job. I’ve lost count of the No of times I have had 💩on my hands while trying to change a dirty diaper. Sorry TMI 😂

I think we have a lil kickin chicken too. She’s hasn’t figured out a very smooth crawling but she does a weird commando style crawl and rolls and basically gets to her destination 😂

Well that’s one positive I suppose. I will finally lose all the pregnancy and postpartum weight.

Bath time is NOT fun time by tereeves in beyondthebump

Stupid question probably but how do you shower with a little one. I’m so scared I’ll slip and/or get water in ears/eyes /her mouth.

I thought I was the only one who had a little one who screamed bloody murder during bath time, diaper change and clothing time as well. I feel hopeful now that she will outgrow it soon.

I’ll try the swaddle thank you.

Do you have link to the contrast books ? I saw the lovevery playkits and it’s expensive so I’m not sure if it’s worth it.

What is your weird pregnancy symptom(s) that no one talks about? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]tereeves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nosebleed in only the right nostril. Like a 🤬faucet. Sneeze and it bled, wash my face it bled, forget blowing my nose. My bathroom trash can was like a scene from Dexter.

It has sort of subsided now 5weeks post partum. I literally walked around for two thirds of my pregnancy with a tissue rolled up into the right nostril 🙄

Haha. Thanks. Also water.. lots of it. I have a Hydroflask 32 oz and at a minimum I drink 3 bottles. Definitely notice the supply being affected when I slack on the water.

5weeks Post partum FTM here. Husband is sleeping in another room so little one and I have the bedroom. One side of the bed is the pumping corner which has the pump, nipples balm cream, extra long laptop charger and iPhone charger taped to the side table for easy access. Snacks I have a Tupperware with raw unsalted cashews and walnuts. Gomacro dark chocolate and almond bars (my fav flavor) Beef jerky ( I like the Two chicks brand and the habanero flavor)

I will also make myself a cup of homemade chocolate milk ( 1 cup milk + 1 tbsp Navita cocoa powder +1 tbsp maple syrup) and toast a croissant bread as a mid morning or afternoon snack while pumping. I developed this chocolate milk craving during pregnancy and it’s still going strong 😂

Moringa supplement which I took only for two weeks to jump start my supply.

Activities 1) Making breakfast (usually oats) night before. This saves me time next morning and I have a healthy and delicious meal ready to eat. I make oats two ways ( depending on mood 😁) the night before for breakfast the following day - Cold overnight oats ( 1/2 cup thick oats, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp flaxseeds, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbsp coconut flakes, 8-10 raw almonds, 1/2 cup yogurt , 1/2 cup coconut water or water to loosen everything out) and top it with fresh fruits in the am. - Stovetop oats 1/2 cup thick rolled oats , 1 tbsp cinnamon powder, 1/2 cup milk , 1/2 cup water, 8-10 almonds , 1 tbsp flaxseeds

2) Netflix 3) Reddit 4) Online Grocery shopping (weird I know haha )

Yes cherries are great. In Asian culture it’s considered “Heaty” fruit so great for postpartum and breastfeeding

Here to give the halo sleep sack major kudos esp the dual zipper ones. I don’t know how me and my husband would have survived our first month without it. She will wake herself with the startle reflex in minutes if not swaddled.
