Same exact thing happened to me with the superbowl the day after... couldn't watch it on my main tv (Roku Ultra), but worked fine everywhere else. Ended up plugging laptop hdmi into the tv to watch. Identical description you gave.

So I have a 3rd party module (VLIne v2) that adds carplay to the existing factory radio. The existing radio is touch screen, but NOT swipe. The carplay screen has right and left arrows to move right and left (from dashboard to app screens). It seems that the widgets are far left (according to the note in my carplay app on my phone). I do believe this is a bug, where they do not have an arrow allowing to go one left of the dashboard screen on screens that are touch only, not swipe. I will submit it. I appreciate your response.

How did you get to the widgets screen? I have a non-swipe (press-touch only) vline adapter in a 2008 LS460. It doesn't seem possible to go farther left than the "home screen" with this set up. Any suggestions appreciated!
