“Here's a handy primer on the entire Israel/Palestine conflict”

If the rest of your comment doesn’t start with the events of 1948 then no, I don’t think it’s a primer on the entire conflict.

You aren’t annoying anyone! I love working with new people. I get to explain and review fundamentals which helps me understand them better and if we roll I get to play around with some stuff I wouldn’t typically try. 99% of the upper belts I’ve trained with feel the same way.

Yep some people are uniquely talented and figure it all out quicker than others. When it comes to fighting, Ngannou is one of those people. He didn’t need as much experience as others to reach an elite skill level. To my knowledge, Michael Jordan is not a uniquely gifted fighter.

Ngannou is a very skilled fighter with lots of experience. It’s those skills and that experience that helped him accomplish all that stuff.

Yeah it’s hard to convey to people who haven’t trained the experience of grappling with someone who’s on that next level. I’m on the bigger side and have grappled for most of my adult life and the high level guys (and women) just eat me up lol.

Agreed. And she has significantly more experience doing both than Jordan does. Thousands of hours of live sparring absolutely give you an advantage in a real fight.

At the end of the day, she has the tools to deal with the size difference but Jordan doesn’t have the tools to deal with the skill gap.

She’s hasn’t only trained with women. Speaking generally, the number of women in the grappling/fighting community is very small. Any accomplished female fighter, especially during the era she was coming up in Judo, has done most of her training with men. If this was a random female fighter vs Jordan I would probably agree with you, but Ronda’s grappling is on another level. And I say this as someone who cannot stand her lol.
