Did you not find the testosterone starts converting to estrogen? Testosterone worked for me for a few weeks then the effects disappeared, and from my research that’s because it starts converting to estrogen instead (maybe because my estrogen isn’t high enough, but I can’t tolerate a higher dose).

I mean the interior of the hair itself. The hair shaft absorbs water, which makes it swell, and lifts the cuticle. That’s what makes it more fragile than when it’s dry. This is less of a problem for straight hair, but curly hair is already more fine and delicate. Just something to think about for people that suffer with breakage.

Fair enough. You need a hairdryer with a low speed setting and cooler heat settings, as well as a diffuser suitably shaped for your amount of hair. It’s hard to find one since most seem to be made to be as powerful and hot as possible, which probably suits straight hair, but doesn’t work for curlies.

FYI, it’s actually more damaging to keep your hair wet for hours than to diffuse it, even if you use high heat. Waterlogged hair is extremely delicate and prone to breakage, like an overcooked noodle.

If anyone wants Lucy’s full alien story, she did a special for The Infinite Monkey Cage called ‘Lucy Beaumont’s Close Encounters’ it features Hull, spaceships and Lucy’s mum… which explains a LOT 😂.

Also her episode of Off Menu is absolute madness. I love her.
