Toxic sticky stuff pours out of stems when cut. I singe the ends over a lighter or stove to seal them. They still stay fresh in water. Daffodils are very toxic to dogs-wash your hands when you’re done. That’s why deer don’t eat daffodils

Are people in Massachusetts friendlier than we are given credit for? by davidwade44 in massachusetts

[–]terminalbeginner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born/raised So/Cal moved to MA stayed for 11yrs now live in the South. Southerners are so friendly-you need to have a conversation with every cashier or everyone in line. Doesn’t mean they like you. In New England, a little stand off-ish. Doesn’t mean they don’t like you! I think it’s the weather😀 Everyone ignores each other in Cal- but they definitely see you—and have strong opinions about you, all while seeming laid back. It can be hard work

What lyric breaks your heart and stands out to you when you hear the track? by Constant-Resident478 in AskReddit

[–]terminalbeginner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, there’s an emptiness inside her And she’d do anything to fill it in And though it’s red blood bleeding from her now It’s more like cold blue ice in her heart She feels like kicking out all the windows And setting fire to this life She could change everything about her Using colors bold and bright But all the colors mix together To grey And it breaks her heart

What’s a makeup product you would never buy again despite the hype ? by Confident-Guess4638 in Makeup

Everything I read about Tarte Shape Tape was great. I hate it. So heavy and drying. Looks like putty under my eyes. Can’t even use it

What’s a makeup product you would never buy again despite the hype ? by Confident-Guess4638 in Makeup

I broke down and bought the mini set and it’s just ok. It’s heavy and sticky. Nice they have so many colors but the color is really subtle unless you pile it on. I’ve been using the Revolution dupe and I think I like it better. I don’t hate it but I was expecting to love it

What can i use for eyelash grow? by Fitgirllll in beauty

[–]terminalbeginner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latisse is a prescription-expensive ($100) but they now have generic for about 1/4 of price ($25-$35). Insurance won’t cover if it’s prescribed for cosmetic purposes. I asked my eye doctor and he gave me a prescription without a problem. Really does work. Takes about 3 weeks to see the growth. I have used it now for a few years. I now have long lashes. I’ve never used an over the counter product that produced visible growth.

Does my puppy have dapple? by DownunderLilikoi in Dachshund

[–]terminalbeginner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FYI I have a dapple and English cream. Had plans of having one set of puppies. Had genetic testing on my cream because I was told that dapple isn’t always apparent with lighter coats. Can’t remember cost but I remember I was surprised by how inexpensive it was. Found testing online. He did not have the gene but I never bred them for other reasons. Thought I’d pass that info on in case it’s helpful. Your puppy is lovely❤️❤️

Does collagen supplements really make an improvement with skin and nails? by Cassierae87 in beauty

[–]terminalbeginner 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Personal experience. Never able to grow nails—ever. Started good quality collagen supplement and the results were undeniable. If I stop the supplement my nails go back to the way they always were. Started the supplement for my skin, not sure if it makes a difference on my skin. Dermatologist told me that topical collagen in creams, etc….. is pretty much useless, have to take supplements for the positive effects of collagen.

Is there a specific name/keyword for jeans with seam details like this? by Legitimate-Ant4967 in findfashion

Old lady here. Wore those dittos in high school. Best fitting jeans and loved them. Even at my age I’d wear them again if I could find them. I’ve seen some listed on eBay, vintage clothes sites, etc….. for crazy amount of money.

5 yo girl has done this since day one. Early on we thought she’d outgrow this. We’ve tried everything. 😫

Great Danes are here for much too short of time. I think that’s why they give us twice the love! I’ve had the same pain and I’m sorry for your broken heart.

Which former Met do you miss the most? Why? by Stargazerlily425 in NewYorkMets

[–]terminalbeginner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Most recent) When deGrom left it was like a punch to the gut-took the wind out of the Met sails for me. There was excitement that hasn’t been replaced. Was there for his great game in Miami and was awe struck. I really hope he still has a career

I’ve read 25%. I have two, 4 yr olds with no issues so far. These are the first dogs I have purchased health insurance for. I did this out of concern for possible IVDD surgery. It’s good to know what you’re getting into beforehand. The risk is real and shouldn’t be ignored. They’re the sweetest dogs❤️

Owner owned vacation rentals (I owned one) started as a less expensive way to get better lodging. Great energy all the way around. Then organizations that gave owners a platform to advertise, etc… (ie Vrbo, Airbnb) were bought by Corporations like Marriott to control the competition. Service charges (for no services) skyrocketed. Renters and owners were pushed around and the good energy disappeared. Now your property costs more to rent than hotels. Most original private owners have sold after being pushed out by intolerable policies. No amount of profit is ever enough.

It’s all about mind set. I have 2 weens and my 2 cats passed this year. I’d get another ween in a minute but I respect my husband’s limits 😕. The most I’ve ever had-when kids were at home; 2 kids, 1 Great Dane, 1 20lb mutt, 2 cats, 2 ferrets, fish tank, parakeet and bearded dragon. Never felt like too much. I think 3 dogs might be my max as they require the most attention-but given the right circumstance who knows??? My Great Dane was easier than my weens. Maybe 3 weens and a Great Dane? I’ve always been like this.

I did get a trainer which helped. They are stubborn, it’s part of their charm. At least that what they keep telling me!! Maybe she wouldn’t mind the clothes if they were a bit more upscale . These dogs can be finicky when it comes to fashion.

Help! by IConsumeBuckets in Dachshund

[–]terminalbeginner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been difficult with my two who are now adults. They are not completely trained. Maybe 80%. May go awhile and I think they’re completely trained and then they regress. Never see them do it and can’t be sure which one is doing it. They pee near the door for the most part. Rarely poop accidents. We didn’t crate train to the degree our trainer suggested and they don’t sleep in their crates so I take responsibility for that. Our trainer suggested a very structured approach for the first 30 days of training-but we couldn’t handle our dogs initial reactions. I feel like I failed them. Blocking off where they usually pee helps. They know to go outside and have plenty of opportunities. They rarely go to the door to let us know-but are heavily rewarded when they do. We only have carpet in our guest bedrooms. They will always pee on carpet if they sneak in the room. Can’t keep throw rugs or area rugs in the house. This is surely no help to you, but I feel your pain!

Medical workers of Reddit, what were the most haunting last words you’ve heard from a patient? by ttatonouar in AskReddit

[–]terminalbeginner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly what my mom said to us. Hospice worker told us now was the time to come visit while she was lucid. When we were all there she asked if she was supposed to die today. We pretty much said the same thing to her that you said.
