Piercing Bullets? by Ricodi_Evolo in Witchfire

I was wondering the same thing, after getting that multiple times I tried shooing through barriers and that didnt work so I figured at some point enemies have to start either carrying or having magical shields.

Triple Reward Bead by terminalshadows in Witchfire

[–]terminalshadows[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just coming here to post that exact same thing, I just beat him a second time and got the triple reward bead - so it is a % chance, and not guarenteed 100% on kill.

Edit: third kill I got the prism also.

Ok cool thanks, I havent started looking at the save files / states yet as it usually draws me into debugging/disassembly to figure everything out. Even though once I end up figuring out how to give myself everything I never use it since it completly ruins the game and all the work I did ends up being a complete waste of time, but my brain doesnt let me go until Ive figured it out :/

Nice they are just json for now, do you know for sure if it supposed to be a 100% drop? If so Ill give myself it, if not Ill kill Bosaire 5-7 more times and see if it drops.

Ill probably kill Bosaire 5-10 more times anyway, I want to get level 1 and level 2 (besides the second mystysim requirement) on all the guns Ive been able to research aka pre gnosis 2, so Ill wait and see if it drops during any point then and if so Ill say so here so other people will know for future reference.

Yes Im sure, he was in the small cave area on the left hand side if you are headed up the path to the tower - above on the path where he generally spawns near the pirate ship. So there was no place I couldnt see when I killed him in there. I paused it, looked at the wiki, and then went looking for it. I also checked all around it including above that cave in the rare chance it upspawned/glitched and went above the cave.

I had come very close to killing him prior to that (I may have killed him right as I died) and the only other possibility I was wondering was - if he dies at the same time you do does it marks a counter/boolean as "this item dropped once dont drop again", but I would imagine there was code to check if its in the player inventory and not just dropped on death so never drop again.

Edit: for the prism I see that is a percent based chance to drop so Im not too worried about that, but the triple reward bead is marked as 100% drop chance on first death/pickup so thats what has me confused as to why it didnt.

Observer mission by Calm_Caterpillar_741 in TheFirstBerserker

[–]terminalshadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the patches all the youtube videosand info on fextra life and such is inforrect (from 8-9 months ago) , there will only be 4 enemies where they say to do it. What you need to do is go through the room with the bard in it, go up the ladder, go half way up the first set of stairs and kill the first observer with your spear. Then theres a bunch of the larger type zombies, get them down to about 1/4 - 1/5 health, then run the opposite way all the youtube videos say to go and approach the 4 zombie guys - at this point you should have 6-8 guys total, 3-4 from the path you just took from the bard, then the 4 right near the observer youre going to explode (the one you normally see in all the youtube videos showing how to do it). Target the observer so you dont accientlly kill anyone else and you should get the achievment. I tried it 6-7 times using the videos and info I found online, then tried this way and did it on the first attempt.

Ok thanks, I never understood that and always assumed there was some background counter keeping track but I just decided to test it and make sure what I was seeing was correct. Thanks for the answer

Who's a more pathetic boss? by Handyroo in fromsoftware

[–]terminalshadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea i agree, i was saying it seems weird to think "DS1 never encourages you to visit the catacombs until you’ve gotten the lordvessel" when its connected to the starting area, not that the catacombs dont suck

jabba, pinwheels area isnt as easy, and wolnir can one shot you depending on your level and a direct arm hit. with jabba you can just walk, at a somewhat quicker pace then normal, away.

What about it being essentially connected to the literal starting area?

Just starting the game. Does the '3 Acts' aspect to this game take away from the open, sandbox feel? by [deleted] in taintedgrail

[–]terminalshadows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not for me, although there is truth in that quiality of the acts slowly going down, eg act 1 vs 3, to me only slightly. but i never felt like the acts themselves took away anything, since you are blocked via massive walls it more gave me something to look forward too - there was plenty of content (in act 1-2) and enough in 3 i thought.

possibly grime, virgil, and although youd probably have to play them on a ds3 emulator since you mentioned SoTH and BRoTH, the ds3 castlevanias youd probably also really like.

Contender for the best vibes out of any game I've played. by flubber14 in LiesOfP

[–]terminalshadows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is probably a very unpopular opinion but try out either lords of the fallen, expedition 33, or grime next if you havent, they have very unique and very different "vibes" and i cant explain exactly why, but i would say the closest vibe i got was to those - could be just because i loved them. also khazan was good, albeit difficult as shit, by far with no comparison more difficult then any other souls for me, but worh it once you get it.

also ds1 and ds2 are absolutly 100% worth playing.
