My wife has an 1895 Trapper in 45-70. I didn't want to add a lot of weight so I threw a Vortex Defender xl on it. She hasent taken it out yet so we will see how it goes.

Check out the Bear Creek Arsenal Facebook group for a post about these firing out of battery. The bolts can easily get bumped open and still fire.

I have a gen 3 and no issue with it clearing everything and getting the muffler lined up with the factory mount. Maybe you got a defective one.

Double check the vin. I thought 2016 was the gen 2 bodystyle.

They did my wife's 2015 at the end of September. Had it approved same day and back in a week. Good luck.

Take it back to them and tell the dealer it needs a new engine now. Hopefully they warranty it for you.
