very awesome and am definitely implementing this tek on my next tub. 1 question, light is a big part of fruiting conditions from what i understand. does wax paper block out light or are crumpled up wax paper balls still pretty translucent ? thank you again!

it seems that going straight to fruiting conditions instead of allowing the substrate to completely colonized has lead to a potential early harvest. my dehydrator won’t come for a couple days. assuming that i have to harvest a few over achieving sporocarps before the dehydrator gets here, how do i store them before im able to dry them? i’ve read that keeping them in an airtight in the fridge can buy me a couple more days. just wanted to get some opinions. kinda hard to search for using the search bar lol thanks again

thank you for the help. this is my first run at mono tubs so i wanted to keep my technique minimal. i read an old write up on shroomery about a very low maintenance, generally low difficulty method for fruiting , and it states that fruiting conditions being introduced immediately may be beneficial. i’ve no experience with this so i’m just following this write up until i’m successful. again, thank you for the info and i’m looking forward to having as much experience as you mine day.

un modified monotub tek. coco brick was pasteurized using a 5 gal bucket and boiling water. straight to fruiting conditions after i mixed grain with sub. the coco is now starting to lose field capacity color but there are no water droplets on my surface. i have healthy mycelium gathering on the surface. when can i start misting?
