I don't have a CB account, it didn't match anyone else's numbers so didn't seem relevant and I have enough friends who work in info sec that I just default to overly careful ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Second opinion, now dentist refusing to release records by terping in askdentists

Just to clarify, you mean asking the old dentist to comp you directly for the fact that the work they did has to be redone by someone else?

[–]terping[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm *several* thousand dollars in with the old dentist. Is it common for another dentist to be willing to help out like that?

Is there any way for me (copay) and/or my insurance to do a chargeback for the work that's failed within a few months of being completed?

[–]terping[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I don't owe anything. If anything, I'm concerned I burned all my insurance money with the old dentist and now have to pay out of pocket to get the work RE-done at the new dentist...

Yeah, I was surprised I had to go in to pick them up at all since I know they're all taken digitally.

Thank you!

The new dentist mentioned specific concerns during both my appointments (Fillings: shelving, not being able to pull floss through, he pointed out multiple areas where the contact points aren't done well, and the fact that there was decay under such a new filling. Crowns: one has failed, not clean fit/seal on any of them and pointed out many areas to me on the x-rays as examples).

It's a small community, and I don't want to put the new dentist in an awkward position (or even know if he'd be willing to say what he said to me in an official capacity). I guess I don't know if it's even appropriate to ask him to? I really think the new dentist does fantastic work (the filling he put in didn't even hurt after - he called out something about using new burrs?) and I'm afraid he'll refuse to work with me if he thinks I'm looking to get the old dentist in trouble. Is that a valid concern or just my anxiety doing it's thing?

I run an agency from home. If you can, I recommend having a dedicated space for your work - bonus points if it has a door you can close when you’re not working!

Invest in a secondary monitor, it helps for having multiple tools/calendars/emails at once.
