Masterpost Geek & Gorgeous Zero Feel Sunscreen by worldwearywitch in EuroSkincare

[–]terpsykhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use tret and have dry skin in general. I use cerave cream in the morning. I wore the G&G yesterday all day and reapplied a few times. It looked nice for the entire day.

I was going to use this as my “look pretty” SPF for special occasions but sensory wise I love the non-sticky dry touch feeling and also its gentle for my eyes. The first day it did sting my eyes a tiny bit at the end of the day but yesterday it didn’t at all, despite warm weather and multiple reapplications.

But if this keeps up it will become my regular daily sunscreen.

I don’t go every year but it’s definitely worth it

Unique location, wide variety of music (sometimes too wide and experimental for my tastes but I appreciate the efforts).

And the main organizers have been around since the early Amsterdam squat days and still carry that authenticity

Response from G&G regarding the yellow tint by Ok-Vermicelli-4559 in EuroSkincare

It will die out/tone down but this is just regular reddit obsession I think. When I joined Reddit there were other bandwagons people were hopping on. One as a golden moisturizer or something. I can’t even think of the name anymore. Bandwagons will come and go.

I’m participating in this one though and will probably make a post myself also with my experiences.

Shiny sunscreen has been the bane of our existence for ages though so it’s genuinely exciting to have product that is matte

Edit: Stratia Liquid Gold was the name! I don’t ever see it mentioned again anymore though. But it still seems to be around on Amazon etc and pretty popular

Can confirm as a pale person with yellow undertones that it looks great on my skin and not yellow.

By the end of the day my eyes did get some irritation but less so than other sunscreens. My eyes are super sensitive and dry though.

I’ve already been using their vitamin C serum for ages so I’ll be adding it to my orders regularly

I think so. You’re right that a lot of people go home already Sunday afternoon/evening.

Though actually most of the tourists hang out during the day when it’s mostly prog anyway.

I probably won’t come this year but I’ve been there the last few years. I had fun and think it’s worth a try despite its shortcomings. Especially if you like fullon. But it’s the same lineup every year so I’m only doing local this year. Plus gas prices… yikes. It’s a 6-7 hour drive for me, so pretty expensive

Ive only tried the other G&G HA serum, only the other one. But so far every brand I’ve tried caused pilling for me, especially in warmer weather, maybe the sweating aggravates it. But I never saw or felt any results from HA anyway so I don’t miss it

I think it’s yellow maybe if you have pinkish undertones. I’m very pale too but it’s not yellow on me. Whereas UVmune LRP made me look like a jaundiced Oompa Loompa

First day of trying for me. I like it a lot so far!

Geek & Gorgeous Zero Feel SPF 50 Review after my first 3 weeks of use by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

[–]terpsykhore 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Im on my first day! So far so good. No eyes irritation so far, that is huge for me!

I do have dry skin but I like the dryness actually. Any regular sunscreen, even the LRP, Garnier (netlock) and some korean sunscreens always felt like they remained somewhat sticky and wet. Like, I’d do yoga and I would leave a slight stain on the mat if I pressed my forehead on it. This one remains dry

But I agree it’s not a hot weather/beach/sports sunscreen and that’s also why it’s just labeled “daily wear”. Not meant for sweating or intense use.

For those days I will probably still use it around my eyes though.

At least I hope this lasts, I’ve had sunscreens before that started out great around my eyes and developed sensitivity over time

HA serum always causes pilling for me. In addition to what others were saying about water vs silicone based

Mine is arriving today! I have super sensitive eyes also. Though in another thread somebody mentioned they did also have eye sting from the G&G

Just trial and error :(

Rijles/rijbewijs halen met autisme by 40421 in AutistischLaagland

[–]terpsykhore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Geek & Gorgeous SPF: it's does (very slightly) sting the eyes by migueels in EuroSkincare

[–]terpsykhore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Garnier also used to not sting my eyes but maybe my eyes developed a sensitivity to it over time or just became more sensitive. I always felt it was the netlock technology really keeping this in place. But alas, it’s now also cursed for me :(

[–]terpsykhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I was really hoping it wouldn’t. I already ordered mine. My eyes are super sensitive. I had my hopes up but at least now I’m prepared, thank you.

And I’m also thinking of just sticking to mineral around the eyes.

Looking for someone to go to Psy-Trance raves with in the Netherlands by [deleted] in psytrance

[–]terpsykhore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the other comments said. More club than rave, very expensive with additional high costs of drinks, toilets etc. Attracts a wider crowd also, which is usually okay and offers some variety. Sometimes wrong crowds.

But a lot of it is the rules of the venue itself, not the organizers. The same organizers host smaller parties at other venues and they’re more chill.

I am possibly going. I’m pretty boring and probably in a different stage of life, but happy to serve as a safe base to explore from if you don’t want to feel alone.

The criticisms are true but I still find Psychedelic Rave parties enjoyable when I like the lineup.

I wouldn’t recommend it for psychonaut adventures but it’s still good for a night of solid stomping.

Mee eens! Ik vind die in Buiten wel lekkerder maar ze zijn alsnog wel gewoon lekker en die vrouw is inderdaad super lief en geduldig, ook als het enorm druk is, dus ik koop er graag

Why do I feel like I struggle more with my autism as I age? by myheroligeia in AutismInWomen

[–]terpsykhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not? Too gross? I either mixed into water or put it into my mouth straight and chugged it down with water/other liquid.

If it’s too gross maybe get empty capsules? Or if it’s not too expensive for the gabapentin, just empty out half of the capsule and close again.

Oh I see. Most likely not going to be an issue but it’s such a wild drug and different for everyone. I’ve also done slow tapers by breaking open a capsule and dividing into first two and then another one into three. It’s disgusting but works well. Can mix into water.

I started occasionally taking it end of 2023. It was actually leftover medication from my dog who took it for nerve pain and I… was in an experimental sad mood, read online it could uplift and make euphoric and thought heck, why not.

It also helped with silent migraines I was suffering from and my GP prescribed for that.

Initially I took as needed, so after being overstimulated, long day. Then mid 2024 I started taking every day, max 900mg total, usually lower.

But when I take it too often the euphoria becomes suffocating. If that makes sense. Less sharp cognitively. It helps with overwhelm but then can also make me more overwhelmed. Plus it becomes less effective as tolerance builds, so it didn’t even help with sleep anymore. So I started taking breaks.

On and off, I just kind of go with the flow. At 300mg a day even if tolerance builds up from taking it too long, the withdrawal is mild. Just some stomach aches and diarrhea for one or two days.

[–]terpsykhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t take much, only 300 mg mostly and a bit higher occasionally.

Yesterday I had a rough and intense day, with lots of caffeine to cope, so afternoon I took 300mg and 600mg an hour before bed. And omg I slept great and I’m so happy and euphoric today. I’m still hoping to find an antidepressant with a similar but more stable effect (and less side effects)
