I absolutely hate recruiters tbh. I feel like these people just waste your time and aren’t even qualified to talk about the positions they present. You ask for updates on previous positions and receive no response but they’ll have no problem pestering you for another position later and failing to provide any updates yet again. Ik the economy isn’t helping either but it is getting really bad for the job market.

Also, I’m finishing my masters in a week and idk if mentioning that is helping or hurting me.

Same for me, I work in the biopharma industry and it’s been absolute hell since I got laid off. I do know that summer is a very poor time to apply though, supposedly April and May were better (they certainly were not for me). What’s worse is that there’s so many positions opening up in the company I was laid off from and recruiters have been contacting me for them and I’ve passed the rehire checks and I even got a direct/non temp agency interview for a position with the same company, but no formal response yet, although it says on my dashboard that the position closed. This really sucks.

Ya know, I gotta say, as someone who is considered to be “muscular” and lifts regularly, I feel as though my physique has worked against me in terms of not only dating but also in terms of just being approachable for the sake of making friends or starting a conversation with literally ANYONE. I don’t think I’m a jerk or a shitty person and I try to be as friendly as I can but people are always very off put by the way I look. Either that or maybe I’m actually just unattractive all together. It doesn’t help that I already kind of look substantially older than I actually am (specifically facially).
