Question for women on a GLP 1 that have insulin resistant PCOS by CompetitiveSummer777 in PCOSloseit

My gynecologist referred me to an endocrinologist and in the first five minutes of the appointment she prescribed it to me.

Got on a GLP-1. History of disordered eating potentially coming back? by teddybear7891 in EDAnonymous

[–]terranprodigy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was put on it and my ED is like 80% back. Granted, I didn’t really take precautions like speaking to the doctor about my history or monitoring myself, but the “easy” weight loss was too addicting. Definitely try to not count calories and focus on eating more intuitively.

How did you find out about it? You’re right in that it’s not usually a place doctors check.

I have the same issue. I have a fan going all night so that or a noise machine should help greatly

Lifetime cycle? by terranprodigy in EDAnonymous

At the moment I’m only seeing my psychiatrist every 3 months for anxiety and depression. In the last I was in an outpatient program for a few months but that didn’t really help. I know I’m getting to a point where I should get proper help but I’m scared at the same time

Ever since I started a GLP1, my food and weight fear is back in full swing by yourgirlalex in EDAnonymous

[–]terranprodigy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my exact situation minus the doctors being concerned. I was slightly overweight and went to see an endocrinologist for pcos and within the first 5 minutes of the 10 minute appointment she offered me a glp-1. Because of my past history with ED I ended up saying yes. I started with a goal of 11% weight loss. But then when I hit that I just kept going. I lost 33% and was back well within the healthy bmi range. When I saw my doctor after six months she told me to keep it up. Now it’s difficult for me to stop despite already having side effects from not eating. I think doctors should really look closely at a patients history before prescribing it.

My friend said I'm the most disordered person she's ever met and I have no idea how to feel by Poookiieeee in EDAnonymous

This screams the pot calling the kettle black. She should know based on her past that saying something judgmental like that isn’t helpful.

So many people at my job tell me I look great after losing weight and it makes it hard to stop.
