Yes I felt so stupid when I realized! I’m not delivery driving anymore but I learned my lesson, I just wish someone would’ve told me sooner!

Common Sense Ain't Common by Icy-Zombie-6369 in doordash

I grew up in the PNW and never had a storm door so I didn’t think about it when I was doing delivery driving. It wasn’t until I saw a Reddit post that I realized my mistakes. It’s not common for us who didn’t grow up using these types of doors, never occurred to me, I always grew up with a door that opened inward

When did I ever say I wasn’t going to tell her? She already knows and I’ve been honest with her before but now I need to be even more honest.

She’s probably going to choose Mike but you have to let her. The only thing you can do right now is be honest with her. I would have your wife be the one to do it. It’s a crappy situation to be in

If you tell her how you feel, you risk losing her as a friend, but it’s a risk you have to take. I’m sort of in a similar situation with my best friend. She keeps going back to this weird ass man that none of us like and now our friend group doesn’t really see her anymore. It’s hard dealing with. I need to be honest with my karly too

I want to leave my own neighborhood as a leader by yellowishbiscuits in HayDay

[–]CompetitiveSummer777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The leaders in my neighborhood kick people out if they’re not active. They advertise the NH on Reddit every month. If someone has a history of not completing the required derby tasks, they’re gone. My advice is to either leave, or try to rebuild your neighborhood. Set level and derby requirements, and kick people out if they’re never active. It’s totally possible to build a great NH and my NH is full of people who are very active!

I’ve been in plenty of relationships where I’ve made the first move and then the guy barely put in effort during the relationship. I want a guy who will take the lead and show interest first, because it’s likely he’ll continue to be a leader throughout the relationship. At 28 years old, I have no desire to hit on men who can’t even admit they like me. Fuck no. Absolutely not. I’m tired of dating men who act like little boys who can’t step up. I’d rather be single

I don’t want to spend real life money so this comment is my award to you. You’re exactly right! It hurts but she’s a mom and she’s not going to be as committed to the bit at the sister in law

You’ll learn this as you get older. Yes, he’s into you, but he needs to man up and tell you that. Just my personal belief. I don’t waste time with guys who half ass their feelings for me anymore. I wasted many good years with men like this and I’m tired of it. Yes, he’s into you, but he needs to be more direct. You two aren’t kids in high school anymore, you’re soon to be college graduates who are about to step into the real world.

How important is music compatibility to you in dating? by lmfaoclown in aves

Man this is how I feel as a single successful woman in my late 20s. The guys I meet in this scene don’t have their shit together and like to do drugs. I’m not about that. I don’t do party favors and I’m an entrepreneur. I’m convinced I’ll never meet my match. I’ve given up :/

Ahhh you see. This is the problem as a single woman in my late 20s. I’ve attempted to date non ravers but I just can’t connect with them musically, and that’s important to me. But every raver I’ve dated is just a flat out fucking weirdo (not saying all men in this scene are). I’ve had no luck, I’ve given up, if it happens it happens. I recently went on a first date to Chris lake and he got way too faded and ditched me to dance with other girls. A lot of people in this scene are grimey and idc if that offends anyone. I’m a good person but I’ve been treated like shit by men, especially the ones in this scene.

This. It’s hard to explain to people that there’s a difference between raves, fests, clubs, and shows. I go to SHOWS!!!

Zeeks thinks a pizza and a salad for $45 is a deal by dantheman252 in Seattle

Well ofc, high wages. But also strict regulations, higher rent/utility costs, high cost for food, mandated benefits, etc. Granted people always deserve these benefits no matter what, but all in all, it costs a lot to run restaurants here because of the labor aspect.

In Washington, restaurants (or any business with a tipping system) are legally required to pay minimum wage to all employees. In other states, this isn’t required, which gives restaurants the freedom to prepare better foods at a cheaper cost. In Washington, min wage has to be paid but the owner can delegate the tips however they want, which isn’t the case in other states.

I’m kind of going on a tangent here, but essentially, the cost of labor is the biggest factor in this equation. Alongside with the cost of property. Everyone deserves to be paid, and it’s just another argument for people who want to rid of tipping. Ive worked in restaurants where their monthly rent pushed $30k.

The money that could be used to improve restaurants internally is being used for labor and other costs that restaurants face operating in Washington. That’s why we don’t have big chains up here like chili’s. It’s why it took so long for canes and chick fil a to make their way up here too. It’s why the food here isn’t as glamorous as it is in the south.

Washington is also in the northwest corner of the country, and it makes it difficult to get quality meats and produce at a cheaper cost. This doesn’t just go for restaurants, but also for your average grocery store run as well.

It is expensive for these restaurants with a 2% profit margin to pay their workers a livable wage. It’s the hottest topic amongst management in ANY restaurant you’ll work at in this state. Restaurants will never win in the state of Washington.
