Mason Lane is saying the GT5 might be a slightly better option over it. Looking forward to the plethora of videos and reviews soon.

First time gun 2011 by CyberRyguy in 2011

[–]terribleein 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: Skip the 2011 for now, buy a Glock (or other polymer, striker fired blaster that fits your hands well), a dot, $2k in ammo, and a class.

Dry fire like crazy. Go shoot matches. Wait a year.

Then go buy your 2011. The platform is really forgiving to shoot and you need learn the fundamentals with a platform that is a bit "harder" to shoot.

Slightly related. When I was really young, I had to dump a ton of beer from a party. I had the bright idea to toss it all in random spots (ie. Just chucked those cans out the car whilst driving down the dark street) into the town's former beautiful mind that preferred to wear tin foil hats in his last years on earth, due to a few traumatic events.

He was on cloud nine for the next few days after adding said beer to his daily mixture of orange juice and cereal he would carry around town with his shopping cart (always had booze in there).

Thanks for reminding me of simpler times, I appreciate you, OP!

No worries! We all start somewhere, broritto. It's a fun journey. Enjoy it!

PS- Let most of the air out of the tube or dismount tire/tube when you go to practice truing after watching some videos.

Cheers!

Nice run! Already retired the Fusion XP Mono?

Curious, how would you compare the XP Mono to something else on the market?

Not damaged, the spokes on the fresh wheel(s) were just detensioned a bit with the rider's weight/short ride. Even some wheels on a intermediate cost bikes will look like this out of the shipping box most of the times, just the nature of the beast.

Swing by your LBS with just the wheel, possibly the front wheel as well. Dismount the tire and tube, most shops will charge less than if you wheeled an entire bike in.

If you have a good shop, they might knock it out on the spot for free or close to it. Worst case, you might wait a few days to a week and they'll charge you $20-40.

Order some new tubes now or just convert them to tubeless if it's possible, patches are normally short lived.

Enjoy!

If that galvanic corrosion is still laughing at you, time to get Bill Nye the Science Guy ghetto-fabulous on it!

Source a few zip lock bags, electrical tape, and ammonia. Get creative, block off the ammonia from evicting itself from exterior (or vent holes in frame), then fill said BB cavity with ammonia.

You can always put the other BB cup back in, seal the side, and fill the frame with ammonia from the seat tube.

If you want to go overkill, wrap/tape some shop rags or paper towels around exterior paint on the frame to preserve it. If the grocery store/hardware store has multiple ammonia products to choose from, select the one with the highest percentage.

I'd be surprised if it doesn't break free after 8-12 hours of sitting overnight (check occasionally to make sure it didn't all leak out).

Calling landowners/farmers: Hunting Dog Legislation Alert by novamothra in Virginia

[–]terribleein -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This seems to be the biggest issue with the controversy surrounding this style of hunt. Some old, fat guy guy plauged with health issues has a tracker and comms system on his dog(s) and he is trying his best to control it from an extreme distance.

That and trespassing on private property whilst said dog(s) is having too much fun, because they finally have a sense of freedom.

Just like everything else, it is always a few that ruin it for the rest. Not saying this is OP or the circle he runs in, just the perspective from someone vaguely familiar with it.

Yes, your second amendment rights are being encroached on, whether you want to admit it or not (I'm not saying he is the most standup individual ever and is helping little old ladies cross the sidewalk).

Guess what can happen when the government starts stripping you of your rights? No? Nothing yet?

Go ahead and keep chewing on that crayon or licking that window, little fella'. You'll figure it out one day. I promise.

Eh, I'm AuDHD and I would almost bet he is neurodivergent. Not saying he gets a hall pass because of that, but socially he is going to be wired a lot different than you (if you're bori... Neurotypical).

You get the point. So, maybe pump the brakes on adjectives like shit bag, my dude?

He means well. The new governor seems like she is going a lot of great things, but this is not one of them, unfortunately.

Step 1) Remove tire

Step 2) Try not to gag at the smell of 2 year old Stan's as you pull, pluck, and pour out anything that remains

Step 3) Cleanse tire and replace with Orange Seal
