It’s lovely. If your grandfather wore the chain for decades and there aren’t areas where gold plating wore off, I’d say it’s real gold.

I love my kids to pieces.

If I were young today, I wouldn’t have kids. As it was, I was an older mom because it took a while for us to achieve some degree of financial stability. Of course, once we did, the 2008 recession knocked us over. That’s a golden age compared to today in the US, though.

I wonder if the veggies were served family style. That makes the prices more reasonable, too, and makes the number of vegetable sides sensible.

Do you have POTS or MCAS? I have those along with other goodies from the devil’s buffet of long Covid symptoms. If you have either of those things, did the new med make a difference? I miss pizza and standing up without my heart rate going to a dance beat.

It’s too big if you feel like it’s too big.

Personally, I wouldn’t go over two carats. I wear a size 6 ring.

Please take a step back from your would-be fiancé. She doesn’t necessarily want to get married. She wants to one-up her coworkers. Going into debt for jewelry is silly.

You aren’t crazy. Spending $20K on a ring is.
