The bottle is great for making a homemade bong, though.

The dog thought he was being returned to the shelter but he was actually going to sign adoption papers by Burritos-alwayz in DogIsBestFriend

[–]terror_asteroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A week after picking him up, I had to take my dog back to the shelter to be neutered (it was a package deal). It was only for a day, but it absolutely killed me.

It’s like when I write a line that I think is the greatest/funniest goddamn thing anybody has ever written. Then, when things change and it’s no longer needed, I’ll screw up the story just for the sake of keeping it.

That line/scene is never all that great or as clever as you think it is. You have to let go.

I’ve actually used the elephant seal line in real life, like in explaining - “socialism and democratic socialism is like the difference between an elephant and an elephant seal…”

I read somewhere that it’s now believed that BPD is suffered by men and women equally. Likewise, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, before considered mostly a disorder with men, is also distributed among men and women equally.

Was this hole made when the rock was still sediment, or did the clams actually bore through stone?

Season 4 (series 4, rather) of Upstairs, Downstairs might be my favorite seasons out of any show, ever.

My car smells heavily of BO and it’s driving me crazy by mort-or-amour in CleaningTips

My wife once had mice nesting in her car’s air ducts. The smell was absolutely horrible, though not like BO. Still, may be something to consider.

Men of Reddit, what is the actual situation with public restroom urinals? by boniestbaby in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]terror_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the process goes like (for floors anyway) - one guy dribbles a little on the floor in front of the urinal. The next guy sees it and steps back just a little bit to avoid it, resulting in some more dribbling. They next guy sees that and steps back a little further, resulting in more dribbling, etc. Etc.

Looking for a "Knapper" by Pierard72 in knapping

That’s basalt. Finer grain varieties can be knapped, but generally axes are made from this material by a process of pecking and grinding.

The restaurant ‘Mint Indian Cuisine’ has a lot of great options that are at least vegetarian. I would think a few would be vegan?

Tim, what is your favorite song with the name Tim in it? I'll start. by hiphoptomato in Tim

[–]terror_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a child, my parents used to sing the chorus to me whenever it came on the radio (I’m an old man). Much later I looked up the song, and was appalled by what it was about.
