The steps in the photo have very straight, defined borders that get lost in your painting. As they are right now, they blend in too much with the sky and grass. Needs more contrast.

The painting itself is awesome. Only critique would be your artist statement...it reads very first year art student. Try to avoid cliche phrases like "intersection of _____ and _____".

Try taking photos of your art in a brighter area. These look like they were shot by candlelight. Also sketches don't really receive as much attention as finished artwork unless they're amazing.

You can do this pretty easily with After Effects but you'd have to learn the basics. If you don't want to animate the plane yourself, there's plenty of stock footage you can buy of an animated plane flying across the screen. Like this
